True Texas BBQ — Restaurant in Marble Falls

I have been to this location multiple times and so has my elderly mother. I have encountered an employee by the name of “James” each of those times and my mother a few times as well. EACH of those times “James” has been absolutely horrible to both of us on separate occasions.The first few times I let it go. I know everyone has “bad days” and I try and understand before placing judgement. My mother informed me he has been nasty to her the encounters she’s had as well. Well today took the cake. I was unable to get the machine to work to place my order. James was near the window by the machine. He looks up at me and I say I needed help with the machine. This man “Shoos” me away with his hand!! It was shocking. I try again a few more times to get the machine to work unsuccessfully and I then proceed to walk down to the window/door and James comes down and slams the window at me!! It was literally something you would see out of a movie skit. I then had 2 very nice employees come out to help me. I’m positive they are embarrassed by him as well. I didn’t catch one of the helpful employees name ( He wasn’t able to get the machine to work either but very kind) and another young man named Josiah who was able to get the order submitted. Both were apologetic. I feel sorry for each of the employees that have to put up with this man every day. These employees deserve a huge pay increase to be able to be next to this miserable angry man all day long. I am so shocked HEB allows an employee to treat customers like this ALL THE TIME! Like I said this isn’t a once in awhile thing. This man hates his job!! Hates people in general!!...

Dropped to two stars because they serve a tiny amount of food for the price...when HEB IS RIGHT THERE!

BUY MORE FOOD FROM THE HEB TO WHICH YOU ARE ATTACHED AND SERVE BIGGER PORTIONS!

It took me some time and three visits to settle on a 3 star rating.

Yes - the establishment is convenient to exiting shoppers, but not much else is convenient or comfortable in the open design BBQ restaurant.

The service is through a kiosk (Yay future where corporations pass MORE work onto the customers!)

Upon completion of one's order it is passed through a window like the automat in Dark City.

And that is pretty much it, although they magically changed my 3 meat plate to a 2 meat plate my last visit.

The BBQ itself is actually pretty good, and is mostly a pleasant dry-rub. Also, the sides are tasty

HOWEVER

The food fails in regards to portions, especially the sides, whose size can best be described as a "bump" or a "blast" of mac & cheese.

The BBQ portions are what they are, and definitely in keeping with portions from other BBQ restaurants, but INTELLIGENT ownership would offset smaller meat portions with larger, tasty sides - instead of the insultingly small side portions.

Alas, we can only hope someday to have quality and quantity from a BBQ...

Ribs were very good, cornbread was super dry. Baked Potato was a complete joke. I ordered extra butter on the side. When picking up my I noticed the butter on the side , which they charged me extra for, was basically a tablespoon of liquid butter. I asked where was the butter on the potato? She said it was in there. I opened the potato up for her to show me and it was pretty much dry with a tiny line and I mean tiny line at the base of the potato. After giving it a chance and taking a few bites, I asked for the manager. He noted that they have had numerous complaints and said it was a corporate decision to change something that didn’t need TO BE FIXED. Suggested leaving a google review. I find it completely stupid that someone in corporate would think this change is...
