Place is a joke. Ordered online about $60 worth of food. There's no way to add ranch I call in and the guy tells me he can't give ranch its .50 cents per one and telling me he can't give it without charging me and I said okay I'll pay and he's like why not just substitute the bacon off your sub lol, I asked for manager or owner I was told it's a "guessing game" when they will be in. They have a bunch of untrained people in there running a circus. When I said what comes with the onion rings I ordered he said nothing does. no sauce. So over them trying to be greedy they lost $200-$300 a week cause my office orders from here. Train your workers before leaving them with no guidance or knowledge.
Update to owners response. Everything I said was accurate. It's not about paying $1 for a cup of ranch. It's about common sense is to offer sauce for the onion rings app. Also paid extra for bacon. There was no bacon. Train your employees to respect your customers and treat them like they are helping pay your bills because they are. If a customer spent a couple hundred dollars a week at my establishment I wouldn't even tell them I can't give them a free 2oz cup of ranch 🤣 what sense does that make. So I'd like my refund for my sandwich since it was made incorrect also paid for an appetizer onion ring and they gave me 5 pieces. ALSO YOU MENTIONED A MANAGER. WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH ONE YOUR EMPLOYEE SAID "YEA THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN" and said there's not one there. So either your employee is lying or you are. Find someone to work for you that has...
Read moreYesterday we stopped by spanky's to have a quick meal, I was looking forward to having some chili cheese fries and coleslaw. The place was barely busy. We sat right away. Our waitress took our order (young female, mid to late 20's) we ordered 2 hot dog kid's meals, one chili cheese fries, Coleslaw (the larger portion of the coleslaw) and a sausage philly.
When my daughter ordered her hot dog, she clearly said " ketchup on the side" and the waitress brought both hot dogs with ketchup in them! I pointed out that... She left and brought a cold bread on a basket. I started eating my chilli cheese fries, and noticed they tasted too salty to my palad. I started digging in them and noticed that they salted the fries.. which they did! The fries has salt, Cheese is naturally salty and chili is of course salty due to the spices used in them, I just had some of my serving cause I was hungry, but stopped eating them and just had my drink cause I simply do not enjoy overly salty food. Fries seemed to have been either old or fried on very old oil by the color and way they came out (I have worked at numerous restaurants, and know what old food looks and tastes like). The coleslaw was oddly chopped in huge chunks and very watery, it had a good taste to it, not personally a fan of coleslaw cut in such huge chucnks. The leftovers I took home, were just to take the pics I uploaded, cause I did not had my phone while we were at the restaurant. Sadly leftovers will end up in the...
Read moreFirst time trying out Spanky's since I'm trying to support the local businesses during this Covid time. Ordered Half of a Philly Cheesesteak with fries and 8 wings (Oakland sauce) through Door Dash. The price was all right, not too expensive but not too cheap so I would consider it in the $ level.
The Philly cheesesteaks was pretty good, I ordered it with extra peppers included. I have had better but these still the right job for being appetizing and filling. I also got the 8 chicken wings covered with Oakland sauce (Blue Cheese with Hot sauce), but here is where they lose a star from me as the wings did seem a bit overcooked so they were hard skinned to crunch through the outside and lacking a bit on the sauce which didn't taste like a mixture of bleu cheese/hot sauce (just tasted like Medium sauce, but I'm not sure of this place's Hot Scale). I decided to go with Oakland because I read several other reviews on how amazing it was and either they're crazy or the restaurant didn't deliver correctly. The fries were all right as well, I was between the regular fries or paying an upcharge for Tots as many reviews also claimed both were great, but again I have had better elsewhere. Maybe if I decide to order from here again, I would pay the upcharge to try out the tots.
Overall, I appreciated the good philly cheesesteak, the rest of the order was all right but I may check out again after this whole Covid business and try out the buffalo philly or...
