I love Miami Grill. I've been enjoying their food for almost 30 years I always politely order grilled honey garlic chicken wings with Bleu cheese on the side. "May I have the honey garlic sauce already mixed in the wings and not on the side please." However for some reason at this location, sometimes they do it correct, and sometimes they neglect to put the sauce on the wings.
The last time the order was wrong I drove back from home to ask if they could add the sauce to the wings like I originally ordered. I was told by the manager that "I don't have the equipment to mix the sauce into the wings. But I can give you the honey garlic in sauce cups and you can mix it in yourself." Ok no problem I understand.
I returned a few days later to order lunch again, there was a different crew. And there was no issue adding sauce to the wings.
Over the course of 3 months since I purchased my new home and relocated from east Fort Lauderdale to Margate, I noticed I only have this problem when a particular employee or supervisor is on shift. I didn't have the opportunity to ask her name.
I returned tonight and politely asked the same order:
'Hello do you all have grilled wings?
Ok, I would I to order a grilled, 10 piece honey... garlic.. wings
May I have Bleu cheese on the side?
Ma'am, can you make sure the honey garlic is already mixed into the wings and not on the side, please?'
Thanks.'
I checked my order, the wings were naked. I asked the cashier if she wouldn't mind adding the sauce to the wings like I originally ordered.
She told me her supervisor said "we don't have the right equipment to mix the wings for you."
"Ok, I'll give you the food back."
The supervisor, rushed to the window and began speaking very aggressive and disrespectful towards me as if I'd been rude or confrontational towards the cashier. All I asked was for sauce to be added to my wings. And if that couldn't be accommodated, I'll return just order.
The manager screams "if you have a problem, you don't have to eat here, get your refund and go".
(It's been almost 30 minutes and my refund still hasn't processed)
The issue is I'm disabled (veteran). And I know for a fact that I did nothing to provoke that response. Because someone approaching and speaking to me like that especially when unprovoked triggers me. To keep those triggers at Bay, I do everything that i can to treat people with respect and speak to them how I'd like to be spoken to.
I'm so disappointed because this is the only Miami Grill, that's within reasonable commuting distance from my home. And I can no longer patronize this location because the environment is hostile.
Thank you...

Food and service has been great for quite a while now. Glad to see them back on track. Fries are delicious, as are the grilled and naked wings.
Update: Jan 14, 2020: Just wanted to say thank you to Miami Grill/Subs Operations Team for their apology and reaching out to me. I will revisit this location in the future and update my review accordingly. I think it's important to show appreciation to a business that's willing to take criticism and try to correct things.
Has steadily gone downhill. Not sure if they have new cooks or what but food quality is terrible now. Naked wings were tiny and over cooked. Fish and chips had over cooked fish pieces and they didn't use Nathan's fries. Half size club sub had 2 slices of deli turkey and 2 slices of thin deli ham. Their 1/3 lb burger was an overcooked hockey puck. And waited in drive thru line with 6 other cars for 30 minutes to get my order. Plus their drive in traps you from leaving for most...
Read moreI just visited this franchise a few minutes ago to purchase a few meals and a few milkshakes with my family. I was told by “Samantha” that they could not make the milkshakes. Okay no problem. I asked why is the machine was down? Her reply was simply “no I just do not feel like making any milk shakes.” What? You just do not feel like doing your job today? Of course I didn’t even bother ordering any other food and just went to McDonald’s down the street and they had zero issues making my order. I love Miami Subs and I come here at-least once a week with my family but the customer service has gone down hill recently. I’d be very concerned as a franchisee. My family and I won’t be coming back anytime...
