Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Marietta

2211 Cobb Pkwy location near Suntrust Braves Stadium. This is my "home" Golden Corral, affectionately called "GoCo" by my friends and me. I typically take for granted how outstanding it is..Score of perfect 100 on health department inspection, the crisp fresh vegetables, the delicious made-to-order breakfast omelettes, the tasty grilled steaks and smoked chicken. Pecan pie and banana pudding. Pulled pork that would make Pig n' Chick or Greater Good BBQ envious. And those garlic cheddar biscuits! As I sit to board a plane back to ATL from Ft. Lauderdale, I am caused to remember what an exceptional GoCo the Cobb Pkwy location is. Ft. Lauderdale GoCo (Tamarac, FL) was a let-down yesterday morning. Houston, TX GoCo was equally dismal last month. Salt Lake City GoCo (Midvale, UT) was not so great the month before that. I've been to the three GoCo's in Orlando near the theme parks. Nope, nope, nope. Keep up the good work, team at 2211 Cobb Pkwy. In your large institutional kitchen, the health inspector could not find ONE infraction to count against you? Nope. Strong work! Your steamed preparation of vegetables for the omelet station before they hit the oiled skillet (vs oily sauteé prep) is key to a healthy omelette. GMgr Scott and AMgr Stacy, ya'll run a tight ship and it does not go unnoticed. I wish you could go on the road leading workshops to show other GoCo's how it is done. Last night I had a bitter experience here, the manager received us, we arrived around 8:45 pm and for that reason we decided to take the food, we ordered two food services per pound, everything was going well until we got to order portions of roast beef , the grill of origin seemed Peruvian, he told us openly that if we did not like red meat there was no food for us, we told him that we could wait and he repeated that no, we complained to him and after Karen-style phrases he told us that he no longer spoke in Spanish and that she would immediately call the police, because she thought we were undocumented Latinos, the manager reacted immediately when she saw this person's attitude and when we told her that we were American citizens and that she should call the police to openly accuse him of racism and discrimination Several Latinos left the place and several Afro-Americans supported our claim, the manager in excellent management went to the grill and she herself served us the meat, then she said that they would not charge us for the food and of course we did not accept it, the attempt to Discrimination of a Peruvian, because we speak Spanish, but the manager who let us know that they, as African-Americans, did not agree with their behavior, was more intelligent, 10 for the manager - 10 for the grill, what does the general administration think? You would get 5 stars if your staff would stop cleaning around and under my table while I'm eating my food. Nothing worse than trying to eat and someone starts to clean up over me and sweep under my table as if I am not sitting there. Nonetheless, the food is super hot and fresh and all of the staff are pleasant and professional.They always provide me with plastic utensils upon my request when I dine in as well, which is very accommodating. The wait staff have been trained to not reach over our food to refill our drinks and when they take up our plates, which is a big plus. Wait staff will bring freshly cooked rolls to your table if you don't want to get the rolls that have been sitting at the food bar. I never order a drink with my food and none of the staff tries to force me to get one. However, the staff always asks if I would like a bottled water or if I change my mind about getting something to drink they are happy to bring me something. Awesome array of desserts and various foods. I like that they have a staff person scoop ice cream from the back for the hard flavored ice cream which cuts down on germs transferred by the guests.Another thing that I was pleased to see was an exceptional needs employee working here which shows diversity...
