Read moreMy little brother understands my love for tacos and understood the assignment when I stated that I wanted a good taco. He suggested Tacos La Villa so we all agreed to meet up.
The restaurant sits in the far left corner of the parking lot so look closely or you might miss it. There is ample parking, so don’t fret over finding a space… Upon walking in, I knew the food had to be good as the place was loaded. I’m talking standing room only with multiple people standing. Oh yes, I’m was ready to eat.
I got in line and placed my order. To my luck, as I was placing my order a 4 seater became available. Perfect as that’s just what I needed. I got my ticket and went to hold our table.
As mentioned, the location was jumping, coupled with the fact that the unit is made long as not wide; there is a limited amount of space. You can expect to be close to the table next to you regardless of where you sit. The ambiance is super casual so you can come in your pajamas as most people did. LoL!
I ordered the Three Taco Plate with Steak as my protein choice. My brother ordered the Birria Pizza. OhMyGoshhhhhhhh. Let’s Talk Food!!!!
The tacos come out plain and there is a stand with all the sauces and fixings for you to build it how you want. The tortilla was soft, the meat was well done, however, the meat was lightly seasoned. When I say light, I’m being nice because it was so light it almost tasted as if there was no seasoning. However, I could smell the seasoning so I knew there was some, yet, I just couldn’t taste it. LoL!
After eating my first tack and being underwhelmed, my brother gave me a slice of his Birria Pizza. This is where the entire experience changed. Babeeeeeeeeeee!!!! This thing was thanginnnnnnnnn.
The meat was very well seasoned. The meat was tender and juicy. The tortilla was perfectly dipped and done and to top it off. The dipping sauce was PHENOMENAL. I’m talking out of this world, mouth pleasing, tongue tantalizing amazing!
My brother laughed at me and says “oh yeah, I meant to tell you to get the Birria!” He’s irky! LoL!!!
Moral of the story is… I’m going back. I’m getting Birria. I suggest you do...
Read moreTacos La Villa, what can I say, they have stepped up their game. Expanded the restaurant and doing very well.
It's been a couple of years since myself and my wife had lunch there. The food menu was pretty good and the overall taste was ok back then. We were use to going to Sun Poncho in Roswell that had that California West Coast Mexican style Mexican food.
My wife, noticed a change to Taco La Villa and their Birra Tacos was making the local social media craze lol So we diced to check it out again. Took our daughters and off went.
That place is A LOT bigger with a bar for alcoholic drinks. The space is double the original size and the kitchen is rocking. New screens to display the food menu and they have a lady serving manglades. If you never had them, you need to try them very good. Each area has a different flavor recipe to beat the heat and the drinks are to die for. We all had the Brilla Tacos plates, and the Carne Asada with fries platter.
Brilla Tacos: The meat is good, just wished it was marinated and seasoned more, the sauce is flavorful, (dip the taco in the sauce), I would give it a C+
Carne Asada w/Fries Platter: Very GOOD!! You must try. A big platter with french fries. It rocked our world lol Great dish I would g Great taste with the steak, vegetables, seasoning, and just a real down home Mexican dish with a little Americano fries. The juices melts with all of the flavors from the dish. Melts in your mouth taste. Very good Grade A+
Drinks: Multiple choices from comes to Mexican traditional drinks. Don't forget the Bar behind you.
Dine In: Yeah it's a little hectic, more tables, open space, gets crowded pretty quick. A little loud but not bad.
The menu has definitely changed with more of a flair and grabbing the public's attention.
The pricing isn't bad either. We will be back to try the other items on the menu shortly.
Great job to the Owners and staff on revitalizing this place. Next time I'll take pics
Highly Recommend to...
