Wow, I just had the absolute worst IHOP experience, ever. I usually do not do reviews however this visit merits it. I arrived with my girlfriend at 9:00 PM. We were promptly seated as the restaurant was around 75% empty. Our waiter Henry was pleasant and asked us for our order twice within the first 5 minutes. At around 7 minutes into sitting down, we were ready to order 2 dinner orders (steak tips and country fried steak) and the cheese quesadilla appetizer.
Our order was taken at 9:20 PM. This is when our experience started to breaking down. Besides our order taking longer to be taken down, I noticed other 3 other tables around us not receiving their food. By 10:00 PM, one of those tables walked out and we still did not receive our appetizer. Something was really wrong. At 10:15PM we received our two dinner plates with no sides, no appetizer. Frustration is an understatement to feelings at this time, but we wanted to just eat our food and get out of there.
The restaurant system was broken as I watched the hostess whip tables and seats off with her hands because they were covered in crumbs. When Henry brought the check he apologized for the long wait and offered a 20% discount (value $5). This did not even cover the price for the coke and sweet-tea we had, never mind the failed appetizer and two sides that were supposed to have come. I noticed that our order was printed at 9:37PM, and not right after it was taken at 9:20PM. I kindly asked what happened to make the wait so long and he responded by “something in the kitchen, I don’t know, your order only takes like 14 minutes to make…”
Between the long wait to make an order, the extra time it took to put it in, the long wait for the food, the appetizer and sides that never appeared, the half answer from the waiter, the no apology from the supervisor in charge, the hostess bussing tables, and finally the inadequate discount for the improper services, I will no longer be going back to...
Read moreMy visit to this location was an utterly disaster. My experience of service was the worst I have ever experienced from any other IHOP across the board, and I have eaten at numerous other franchises. This visit was between 2 and 4:p.m., there were less than seven customers throughout. There were only three total of staff waiter's and even those were "ghost". Our wait for a table took longer than necessary, then service to take our orders was even worst. A man from the kitchen came out with a cigarette stuck behind his ear though I must admit he was apologetic and courteous, but he took our orders. We patiently sat for 30 to 45 minutes waiting for our food which never arrived. This same man who greeted us came out again from the kitchen wearing this stained dirty apron which looked like he had climbed into the dumpster out back, and apologized and said that "he" personally would go to the kitchen and "cook" our foods "which never happened". We also witnessed this same man sweeping the floor and picking up trash with his un-gloved hands and went straight to the kitchen and proceeded to handle utensils w/o washing his hands. My guests and I had seen enough however, as we attempted to leave, this same man approached us and pleaded for us to stay and he promised that he would take care of our table "WHICH WE WEREN'T" staying around because we had experienced and seen far more than we wanted to. This was the worst "charade" I've ever seen. I'm not sure what was going on with this particular franchise that day, but I do hope they can get a (for real) staff team and a productive manager "asap" before they go under. I only know for sure that I nor anyone I talk to will never visit this particular IHOP ever, ever again. I wish them the best of luck going forward...p.s., this experience doesn't even deserve one ⭐ because they didn't represent other IHOP...
Read moreCame to the restaurant to eat like I do twice a week I park in the same spot every time there were no parking spots in the parking lot soon as I walked in with my two daughters I was asked did I park in the to go area as I proceed to tell the short lady with gray hair That yes I partner to go area she proceeded to walk to the back and asked for the whole company so that she can get my vehicle towed, considering that they were no additional parking spots as I proceeded to ask for the supervisor in the manager explain to her what was going on she stated that it was perfectly fine and OK that we can park there but the short lady Who worked in the front as a greeter did not comply and still proceeded to try and call the tow company to tell my vehicle while I was simply trying to eat breakfast with my two daughters. I have never experienced this issue ever since coming to this establishment and I think she needs to be removed and needs to be out of the workforceconsidering that she looks way too old to be working and should be retired. By now I am very offended And this is highly inappropriate. I left and went to a way better restaurant called snooze where I wouldn’t have those issues or problem. This is highly unacceptable and very inappropriate and I do not appreciate the disrespect and I’m quite sure I was targeted because I was a black woman. 🤦🏽♀️ Shame on you guys for hiring people like this in your...
