I had one of the worst dining experiences ever at Lahore Grill. The chana was cold and tasteless, and the garlic naan was topped with what looked like old, spoiled daal – possibly more than two days old. One of the grilled items had a burnt black shell, like it had been left in the fire too long. No salad, no raita, no sides – they gave us nothing extra, just the bare minimum and even that was bad. When I arrived, no one was at the reception. I waited more than 5 minutes, totally confused. No greeting, no welcome, no service. I honestly don’t know what the staff were doing inside. The food was bad, the service was worse, and the overall experience was a complete waste. I’m never coming back to this restaurant, and I strongly recommend others – especially from India, Pakistan, or Bangladesh – do not go there. You deserve better food and better treatment.

A simple No frills place but clean. The food here is GOOD. They charge a decent price but the taste of the food is really good. Coming from the Washington DC are I’ve had my fair share of Pakistani food and having traveled to places like Pakistan I feel I get the cuisine well. The food was HOT with good portion sizes. Chicken Korma Chicken Biryani Chicken Karhai From the 3 dishes I personally tried I will have to say I loved the Biryani and Karhai the most. Pair any the korma and Karhai with a hot NAAN and you’ve got a winner for about $15.

I'm originally from Pakistan and know the authentic taste as it should be. This is it. The Gosht Korma (aka Mutton curry) with Naan, Seekh Kabob, Haleem, or Chicken Boti with Rice are finger licking good and exactly what I grew up with. In my opinion, this is the only real Pakistani food that I have eaten in America in past 40 years. No comparison with Indian food. Ustad Zulfiqar, thanks for serving us great food three times last week. We'll be back.

In the word of Huey Freeman, "Meh." The only great thing about my dining experience at Lahore Grill was the Bollywood love story/comedy that was playing on the restaurant's TV. I wish I could have waited to see who Sanjah picked in her love triangle.

This place was a ghost town. We stepped into Lahore Grill and I swore I heard the rustling of tumbleweeds in the air. There was nobody in there but my husband and I and the proprietors. In fact the man at the counter actually looked shocked that he had customers. I don't know why I didn't take that as some sort of sign. I guess the heat stroke and low blood sugar I was experiencing, combined with the quest for samosas and chicken tiki masala, made me hesitant to turn back.

So, we step up to the counter and place our order of two chicken tiki masala and I notice that the chicken tiki masala does not come with rice and naan. This should have been the other clue that Lahore Grill was not the place to be, but again my mind was hazy and my stomach was on greedy. I mean isn't it like a law that all entrees at Indian restaurants come with rice and naan included?! Or is that just my understanding? shrug

We placed our orders for samosas, chicken tiki masala, garlic naan, and plain rice and were directed to seat ourselves. Now one thing I can say is that the Lahore Grill does not push out food straight from the kitchen, there was a bit of a wait that had me thinking the food might actually be delicious. Wrong again. The samosas came out first and they were as dry as all get out. Seriously samosas are like the one thing I have never had wrong at any Indian restaurant. Guess there is a first for everything. Then to top it off the chutney and the mint sauce was all creamy. Ugh.

After the samasos were done the rest of the food was placed on the table and surprise, the garlic nann and chicken was dry too. Wait, excuse me all 6 small pieces of bonelss chicken was dry. Yes, I counted. For $6.99 I should have had more than that.

In general, the food was meh. Although spicy, there was no real flavor to the food. It just was blah. This is definitely not your momma's Indian food, well if your momma was Indian of course.

My verdict is: Save yourself some trouble, and go elsewhere, unless you just want to kick back and watch some...

Deal Breaker!!! The other night was my 4th or 5th time I went to Lahore Grill, and each time has been pretty consistent with an ok taste value. The food isn't what I think it should be as a restaurant, it has more of a fast food, or cafe quality to it. My husband and I have been coming here because there simply aren't that many halal restaurants, and the few around don't even have "ok" food. Recently, we had the Haleem which had a taste of the instant version that I could have easily made at home for less than $7, and the Biryani is good on the spicy side (yum), and the pakora and naan hot, sodas cold, raita and condiments all cold and fresh, temperature of everything appropriate. The environment here is casual and it sounds like they have some billiards, or at least pool, there is a TV playing bollywood's latest pop music, and a more private section which is usually closed in the evening. The staff is average but at least not rude, and I guess they're relatively friendly. Ok, so with all of that being said, we noticed that they're now selling ALCOHOL, which for me is a DEAL BREAKER, if I'm gonna avoid the non conventional rest. like olive garden, etc. because they sell alcohol, i'm certainly not gonna waste my time and money going to this "ok" restaurant just because they have halal meat..seriously? Halal Meat and Alcohol just don't mix, at least not in my world, so I would prefer to have my shrimp alfredo at olive garden and not sit by the bar, then come here and eat their less than average food (although the prices are really cheap) to sit and stare at alcohol being...

UPDATE: New owner after 16years of service but same staff! New problem is new owner not as organized as previous owner! For example he had no mango drink which is essential when eating Pakistani food, second his drink box is completely empty which sits right in your face when ordering and something previous owner never let happen! Third the food was brought out at different times which is definitely not the normal! First the biryani then 20min later we got the chicken boti by itself then 15min later i got the garlic nan that i normally eat with the boti but now is very cold since i had to wait, also the amount of meat given has been reduced, my lamb biryani plate had 3 very small pieces for a $16plate which before you would get like 6-8 pieces and also the chicken biryani plate was also hardly any chicken like with previous owner! It was rather embarrassing taking my guest to a place i bragged about the whole drive there which is an hour from my home only to get the service that we received! OWNER NEEDS TO FIX ASAP! 😔 I will go back in next couple of weeks and see if its gonna stay my favorite place or not🧐

OMG! What can I say other then I've eaten at so many Pakistan restaurants but nothing touches lahore, I am well travelled in the states 45 states and counting and i have to repeat myself NOTHING comes close to LaHore grill I usually get their boneless chicken tika boti 6pcs and chicken biryani rice is AMAZING and the yogurt sauce to put out the heat;) omg dont forget the garlic nan bread tooo!!!! I'm hungry for it again just from thinking...
