I had a taste for funnel cake and Google funnel cake late night snacks. I was excited that I found one that was opened late night. I called to see if she could make five funnel cakes. She picks up and I said, "hi how are you? She replied, busy what's up! But not in a welcoming way.. I ask if she had funnel cake and before I can ask if she could make five. She replied yea and hung up.. So I took the 30 minute drive anyway. My friend and I walked in but no one was behind the counter but a family was waiting as well. The mother told us she in the back doing something I said ok thanks. The owner came out eight minutes later. Services the family. Well I was waiting, a guy came in to pick up a order. The owner points to a cooler and said the two white containers and the guy was about to leave and she said no come here you have to sign for it.. She tell him what the order was and the guy started to sign her worn out notebook, then she yells at him and said did you check the flavors ! Check the flavors and then sign. She didn't have to belittle this young man, obviously he wasn't aware of the routine for pick up. In my head, that was rude. Then it was my turn, I told her I wanted to order five funnel cakes, brownie and Mexican churros. She said I cant make five, so I ask what can you make. Then I stated to her I called before I made the 30 minute trip but you were rude. She said I wasn't rude I'm busy! Then she said Well we not aligned with the universe I can't service you something like that. 🤔 I said so you rather not apologize and I left. People have to understand it's how you say things, delivery and tone goes hand and hand . But her business didn't deserve my hard earned money anyway with service like that, the universe told me that! If I could give her a zero I would, attitudes like that don't...
Read moreLolita/Lola is wonderful. Her type-A personality drives her to take care of her customers and make sure every food delivery driver confirms each item within each order before leaving the store. The little personal touches are noticed and appreciated, such as the personalized notes from Lolita written on the top of food containers. I've had some wonderful items and some not so great items from many different orders. Eclairs and other items in the Tuxedo Dessert Assortment were still frozen in the middle. Pretzels have been cold and stale. Pizza is hit or miss.. the chicken tikka pizza is their best pizza and their Jamaican Jerk pizza is the worst, in my humble opinion. I like the hotdogs, although they're quite overpriced. Much of the menu contains unique carnival-esque foods that you'll only find at carnivals and fairs - and Lolita's! The interior is a quaint soda shoppe style place with personalized walls and shelves with games to play. If you're able, stop by and stay for awhile to get the full experience of the shop. Due to the prices and hit-or-miss quality of various items, this is no longer a regular spot for us, but definitely fun for a...
Read moreI was really excited about ordering from here. When I ordered takeout half my cream puffs were missing and my fudge funnel cake was missing. (Edit: my funnel cake and chicken was cold and hard and chewy and funnel cake soggy because Lolita insisted that she doesn’t package syrup she pours it on herself. Didn’t even want to eat it. Tossed it in the trash. Apparently their frozen then air fried later! Oh and the PUDDING TASTED LIKE IT HAD GONE BAD which is plausible cause the gummy worms DISINTEGRATED in my mouth rofl) When I called, Lolita the owner personally answered the phone and said she bagged it herself after repeatedly interrupting me and that I was mistaken if the bag was unopened when it arrived. Wasn’t even offered compensation for half my cream puffs and my chocolate funnel cake missing. Added photo is a review I wanted to highlight of the many snarky rude comments the owner responds with and the same ...
