Hello,
I have been at this location for several, several years. I would give this of location 5 stars a year ago. The last two times I have been there had been very disapointing with the ice cream preparation.
I ask for almonds and for cashews. I ask for 2 scoops of almonds and one scoop of cashews. I am very clear on that and told the girl to please put the ingredients measurements correctly. I will pay whatever l is needed as long as I get what I need in my cup. But to please do it correctly.
The first time I did not get half of the ingredients as times before. I told the cashier I was not happy and left.
The second time I told the cashier what had happened before and explain to her that I wanted the correct measure put in my ice cream. To my surprice this was worse than the first time. The very young kid doing my ice cream only put 2 pieces of almonds and one piece of cashew in it. I was-- at this point-- no longer disappointed at the ice cream parlor but at the inability of millennials to comprehend directions or taking pride of doing a good job. This had nothing to do with a kid being good- they all are good- It has to do with what they are now and how they affect businesses. I see it also at my job. Millenials seem to be out of touch with what jobs require if them. Sense of urgency, sense of pride, beimg proactive, etc. It is an epidemic and a couple of those millennials work at this store.
I know, I know, NOT all millenials were created equal. Of course not!! It just happen that I seem to find them a lot, ay work, ay the movies, at syores and they are here to stay and continue with what our forefathers created for us!!!!
That is why I was nice yo give 3 syars this time. Until someone teaches them the difference between two scoops and two almonds they won't get five stars.
To be fair, "customer service is always good" smiles, thanking you for the purchase. Product quality, etc. is good just as well.
It is the END result the one that needs to be reviewed, satisfaction of what I had...
Read moreSweetreats Marietta is a charming ice cream and dessert spot located in Marietta’s historic square, earning a solid reputation among locals and visitors alike. According to Tripadvisor, it holds a rating of about 4.2 out of 5 from nearly 50 reviews, placing it among the mid-high tier of Marietta’s dessert destinations. Tripadvisor
One of the most appealing features is the build-your-own approach to frozen treats. You pick a base (typically chocolate or vanilla) and then choose mix-ins and toppings, which are blended into the ice cream rather than simply layered on top. This method ensures each bite is well mixed and flavorful. Friday Date Night +1 Many reviewers laud the imaginative combinations—flavors like red velvet with Nutella or brownie sundae often get special mention. Wanderlog +1
That said, the experience isn’t without its critiques. Some visitors feel that wait times during busy hours can be long, and the price point is on the steeper side given the dessert’s portion or perceived value. MapQuest +2 Yelp +2 A few reviews mention inconsistency in service — staff being curt or inattentive on occasion. Yelp +1 The decor also draws remarks: while cozy and homey, it seems to have aged without much update, prompting suggestions for a refresh to match the quality of the treats. Wanderlog
In sum, Sweetreats Marietta is a delightful stop for dessert lovers who enjoy customizing their sweets and watching a little flair in preparation. Its flavors and concept earn it high marks, but occasional service lapses, crowding, and interior wear subtly drag the overall impression. For a fun, indulgent dessert outing in Marietta Square, it’s well worth trying — just be ready for lines and manage expectations...
Read moreI moved away from Marietta about 3 years ago and this used to be my favorite place to come to in the mornings to get fresh baked butter bread and other delicious pastries first thing in the morning. I came back here after all this time because it used to be so good but sadly when I came back after all this time it just wasn't the same. I came here today to get the butter bread that used to always get and as a second option I got the Japanese cheesecake and it just tasted like a Danish because it was so dry and it resembled a pastry more than a cheesecake. It is so disappointing because I used to come to this place every day for their fresh baked goods but clearly it's not the same as it used to be. I would come here daily to get the fresh baked bread but now it is all packaged separately and it's really not the same as it used to be which is so sad because it used to be so good. It was so good before that I came back here three and a half years later after moving out of Marietta I was in town and this was one of the first spots I wanted to revisit but it's not the same as it used to be. The pastries don't have that same love and care that used to go into them as before. I used to come here every day previously and I'm sad to say I may not come here ever again after spending over $20 on my favorite bread and Japanese cheesecake that was not nearly as good as it used to be before. I'm not sure what the change was but in 2019 this was my favorite Bakery and place to come to every morning but now everything is so dry and almost not worth eating and it truly makes me so sad because I really used to come here everyday to get the fresh baked goods and delicious pastries but clearly that's not the...
