We entered this place around 5:00 and left at 5:45 with nothing. When we got there we had to move several times because tables were reserved for certain numbers of people. Nobody took our orders for quite some time before we finally were served by a man, who was nice but also asked us to move tabled again for the same purpose. The bathrooms have either none, or very nondescript locks on them which does not provide a decent sense of security. The women’s restroom did not even have one, I hear. Another waitress came to take our order as I presume we had been moved to a different section of the store which was covered by her. We informed her that we had already ordered and thus she reclaimed our menus and left. We waited. Then waited. The only person who was repeatedly sighted was a black man with braids and a tye-dye metallica t-shirt, I describe him as no one there had name tags. Good work on his part, he is the only one I actually saw sweeping and handing out orders. Everyone else more or less vanished from the floor and retreated behind counter to the kitchen. We waited over forty-five minutes for our order and to make a long story short, walked out with nothing in our stomachs but water and a poorly prepared seltzer-water infused coke. Which all went unpaid for. Surprisingly, we still mustered up the chivalry to ask if we had to pay for them, when in all sense of right and wrong, we should have just walked out without a word after such bad service. I give a one star. Someone else who went there before informed me it was not even good pizza worth writing home about anyway. Im not a picky or peculiar person, and the interior of the pizza shop was nice, friendly staff and everything, however we waited way too long. Others who arrived after us were served quicker. However the cohort that got to the place at the same time as us waited the same time as us, unserved, and continuously moving tables. I try to be understanding as I am aware plenty of places are short staffed after so many are quitting jobs (as i feel they should) and much of the workers were young, but this was just plain bad....
Read moreThis was my first time ordering from Marietta Pizza Co.
I'll start with some positives: The staff was very friendly and professional. I appreciate that they have a separate area for convenient order pick-ups (which the same can't be said for a lot of other pizzerias). While I didn't dine-in, the atmosphere looked very cool, the dining area was very clean and presentable, and they're in a great location, where you can bring your dog and sit outside on a nice day.
As far as the negatives, the pizza was just not what I would expect for the $34.03 that I paid for two large pizzas (one was half cheese, half pepperoni, and the other was meatball). The sauce was too thick and acidic. The cheese was very heavy, but standard in taste/quality, as far as pizza cheese goes. The dough was tough and lacked flavor, and tasted more like cardboard than bread. The toppings...I'd like to know where the toppings come from, but if I had to guess, the pepperoni is Hormel (which you can find at any grocery store), which is fine for "Make Your Own Pizza Night" at home with the kids, but not the quality I would expect for a $17 pizza. The meatballs also seemed to be a pre-packaged meat, and I can just say that they weren't good. Also, meatballs are considered a "premium topping", where you're expected to pay a little more, but I didn't see the give/get here. If I pay for a "PREMIUM" topping, my expectation is that someone made them in-house, and has sliced them for pizza toppings.
My parents just moved to that area, so I'm hoping to have another pizza night at their place, but it won't be coming from...
Read moreWhen I worked at Domino's even my boss bragged about how good Marietta peach company was. So you can imagine I was intrigued. So after hearing about this place for more than 4 years I finally went down there but I actually ordered over the phone and told him when to have it ready. So I went down there they have a separate door for pickup that's how busy this place is they do a lot of business. Parking is pretty much nearly impossible good luck on parking because there are no parking spaces available I mean it's like if you went to Gadsden Alabama and we're trying to go to the public courthouse you're not going to find any place to park. So I ordered the pizza you know the way I like for the most part I wanted to get feta cheese on medium but I goodbye a whole container full of feta cheese for the price they were going to charge me to put on a pizza. So I went to the store and bought feta cheese and put it on the pizza once I got home. I have to say the reputation of this place is really not deserved it is nothing special it's got nothing exceptional to really say hey we're fantastic the dough was normal the toppings were normal cheese was normal in the sauce was normal nothing stood out. And this is something I know a lot about I've been in the pizza industry for 30 years and that's on the low side. So I don't recommend Domino's I do not recommend Pizza Hut I think the closest thing to a great pizza these days is Papa John's there was this nice Greek restaurant on Terrell Mill but they went out of business so finding a decent Pizza your best bet is Johnny's Pizza if you can find one...
