Today was my first and more than likely my last visit at The Red Eyed Mule. I arrived on the 19th of March 2019 around 1:40 p.m.; about 20 minutes prior to closing.

Upon entering I realized it is set up like a small diner, very small, with a little counter top bar for customers to sit as well. The tables are close together.

As soon as you walk in, the small counter with an iPad is directly in front of you where you order. I was greeted almost immediately upon walking up to the counter.

I ordered two Jake Burger Deluxe with cheese, no mustard, no onion with fries for both and one sweet tea to go. The total was nineteen dollars and change, but with a 20% tip, the total was $23.62. I paid with a card, the lady at the counter swiped it, I selected a tip and digitally signed. No receipt was provided. The wait was not long at all.

I drove about 7 minutes away where a friend and I consumed our meals. The reviews were great on Google and Yelp, so I was expecting an outstanding burger. The food was mediocre, and the fries were reminiscent of the flavor of Burger King's fries. It was not bad to taste, but it was just average. Nothing blew me away like the great reviews I read from other customers. Within 20 minutes of finishing we both had horrible stomach aches and still do. Something in the kitchen today was either old or not at proper standards and has made us sick.

This is a story I will tell everyone I know in the area and if I know my good friend, I'm pretty sure he as well will be contacting someone about how we are feeling because this is extremely unsatisfactory.

My advice to the restaurant...please handle your food with care and take care of your customers. There are numerous things that can happen to a person by eating bad food. I hope my friend and I can bounce back quickly because we both feel...

*Editing to respond to the owners comments- I was refunded because I asked for one since this incident transpired before my order was ready, so we NEVER received our food. Secondly, I spoke to the manager because I called and asked to speak to a manager. No one in the establishment made any attempt to reach out to me. Also, when I did speak to the manager I asked if Sabra (the owner) would speak to me but I have not received a phone call. Which seems odd because she has time to respond to my reviews but not to reach out and speak to me directly about my experience.

I stopped in on the morning of Sunday 3/26 with my sons for breakfast it was pretty crowded which was to be expected on a Sunday morning. We ordered & sat down at an open table, while we were waiting for our food an elderly Caucasian woman approached our table & said "I'm going to sit at the table behind you. Can you make sure not to allow them to reach over and pick at my food when I get up?" I was genuinely confused so I asked her what she was talking about & why she would think that something like that would happen. For context I'm a black woman with black sons. Her response was, "well I know you can't afford to feed all of them (looking at my sons)". Obviously I was livid. I told my kids to go to the car & I asked to speak to the manager. The staff told me there was no manager there. They told me I could call back to speak to a manager but there wasn't anything they could do. Now I understand that you can't control what people say/do but I would expect for them to atleast tell the woman they don't tolerate that kind of harassment of customers & at a minimum apologize to me. None of that occurred so my assumption is that while this establishment has good reviews; they clearly value & prefer customers of a...

I'm not sure where th high reviews came from, but I WAS HIGHLY disappointed!!! Customer service was TRASH, food was TRASH, the other customers were RUDE, and the only upside was that their heat works. So.... The way this spot is set up, you order your food at the counter when you walk in the door, then you seat youself, and the drinks are all self serve. It's a bit small inside, but it gives you a comfy mom & pops spot feeling. Not sure what type of morning the young lady at the register was having, but her attitude was the worst. She was a bit snappy, she cut me off as Iwastelling her what my husband wanted, and she rushed me. On top of that she got both of our orders WRONG!

When we sat down it felt super uncomfortable when a guy at the table behind us kept staring at me the ENTIRE time. The drink options are a bit limited, the coffee was lukewarm, and the don't have orange juice. It took about 15-20 min, not too bad, for our food to come out. I had a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich (asked for the egg to be fried hard) and my husband had the ham and cheese omelet w/tomatoes (asked for the eggs to be cooked hard). The yolk in my eggs were not cooked on my sandwich and my husband's omelet was runny w/rubber band like ham. We took a few bites before giving up on forcing ourselves to eat it and left.

Total cost/loss was around $30 bucks and we will not...

It's a unique popular restaurant in Marietta. Servers are very friendly. The food was awesome. Chicken and waffle were great as well as the burger. It is an open kitchen so I liked it. It has some nice cozy interior inside of it.

Came here on a Sunday morning before an event I had to go to. When I walked in, I was greeted by the lady behind the register. She told me to take a menu and come back and order with her when ready. It's small and the booths are close together. They do have "bar" seating with barstools spaced apart. I hung my jacket on a hook by one of the barstools and went to order. While waiting to order, I watched a server get my jacket from off the hook under the bar and start waving it around and asking if anyone left a jacket. I let her know I put it there while I ordered and she brought it to me. In the meantime, a couple sat down where my jacket had been. Ordered a country ham biscuit, mule chips (hash rounds), and a hot chocolate. I found another spot at the bar top. While I waited, I saw so many people leaving, with lots of food still on their plates. Nobody was getting to go boxes it seemed. A server finally brought out my food, yelling my name all over the restaurant, and walked past me multiple times while I tried to flag her down. The biscuit was large and fluffy and the country ham was oddly sweet. There were 5 mule chips, and they were greasy. Had to pat them down with napkins. It was served in a paper basket. The hot chocolate was watered down Swiss Miss, but good portion. It was all decent for the price, but nothing exciting.
