Bar-B-Que Hut — Restaurant in Marion

Four worker's were outside talking to a lady in a new SUV type vehicle for 45 minutes, 1 person was inside working, everyone was complaining saying they just wanted their money refunded, eventually 1 or 2 workers started going in & out, the tater tots weren't fully cooked, onion rings & fries were overcooked, ice cream cup was completely melted, I'll stop there about each item!BBQ HUT is a big let down, I grew up eating there & it used to be awesome,now day's it's way overpriced & not fit to be ate I tried to call to make a complaint but nobody ever answered but from now on I will go to COOKOUT or grocery store or somewhere for my BBQ, THIS PLACE WENT FROM A NEAR 100 TO A CLOSE 0 OVER THE YEAR'S, not my place to eat anymore!!! After I posted this & was called a liar by the G.M. I posted again telling them the exact type of vehicle they were outside chatting with & offered to share the picture's with people & the time & a video of exactly who they were & how long they were outside talking, I was even offered to post it on FB but I won't, I'm not trying to hurt small independent businesses as I stated in both posts, I used to Love eating here & we drove from S.P. just to eat here, when we went there in April it was so-so, in July it was really bad & frustrating to have to wait so long with an 18month old...

Yes, I did give it a fifth star. I get by here every few years, and it hasn't changed. Bar-B-Que Hut is about as 'down home' as it gets. There are no frills - no air conditioned seating, big plastic pig out front, no playground for the kiddies. It's on one side of a gas station parking lot (or maybe the gas station is on one side of the bbq parking lot). There are picnic tables to sit at, some of them shaded. You order at the window and pick up when your number is called. The bbq sandwiches are very good, come with slaw on them, most of the sides are crispy and deep fried, and the price is about the same as a fast food quarter pounder. The last time I ate at the Hut was probably 15 years ago, and basically nothing has changed - same lady behind the window, same great food. Hopefully it's still there in...

Overall experience was great.

This small BBQ restaurant is located right next to a gas station right off the highway. It is very easy to find on Google maps and there are a few parking spaces in the lot. You may drive by this spot thinking it is a run down shack, but that is not the case, it is quite nice!

The restaurant is often packed outside with folks waiting for orders to be called. They have quite a lot of options on their menu from BBQ to chicken sandwiches, chili fries and more. You order at the window and wait for your number to be called on the loud speaker. The food is pretty good and the size portions are decent for the price. We had the BBQ sandwich chili fries and chicken sandwich, all quite tasty.

Overall I would definitely go back to this restaurant for some more tasty BBQ...
