Bojangles — Restaurant in Marion

I was traveling from dropping my daughter off at SIU we from Chicago and I had Bojangles for the first time a few weeks ago traveling from Mississippi and the entire experience was absolutely wonderful but this one in Marion Illinois was awful. The guys in back would not drop my tenders fresh and was being very smart mouth with the cashier over her asking them to drop my tenders fresh and the cashier kept saying things under her breath and I heard her say dnt do it so I cancelled my bacon biscuit and 4 tender meal and chicken sandwich meal after hearing the cashier. The guys in back didn’t want to help her and she was disappointed. They were rude and it took away my experience. I have been wanting to try them for some time now and after getting the wonderful experience In Mississippi recently I just knew this location in Marion was going to be great but I was very wrong. Bojangles in Marion do better with your customers next time and don’t be smart and rude because we want fresh food. We ended up getting KFC down the street . I don’t appreciate having to settle for something else. I will be back next time I go to Carbondale and if it’s not right I will complain again but this time I will call corporate while inside. Went to this store today and asked for a 12 peice family box all white meat with mashed patatoes coleslaw and mac and cheese with an extra mac and cheese so i drove home and noticed a mac and cheese was missing so i told the wife to call up there to let them know about it and the guy she spoke to was polite and said come back up he would get us the extra so we went back up there and got it and the lady was a little sassy about it but that issue was fixed i then return home to find that i did not get any white meat and only seven peices of chicken not 12 for the 45 bucks i spent i could have atleast got what i asked for. Had i made a mistake lile this where i work i would have gotten in trouble for it. And waiting another 5 or 10 min for the correct order would have been fine. I would have waited if asked. And i dont like having to leave a bad review for dustin either but i got ripped off and im not happy about it either. I have 4 adaults and 3 kids to feed now and spent my last 50 bucks on this meal. Guess ill go hungry tonight so my kids can eat. I dont believe ill be back for awhile. Sorry dustin your guys messed it...

That out of the way, solid 5 stars. Food was excellent, price was fair and the lady working the cash (I wish I caught her name) was above and beyond expectations. Aside from being extremely friendly, made a very good recommendation and left me an extremely satisfied customer.

I was there shortly after the main lunch rush and could see a lot of employees taking their lunch breaks and eating in the dining area, despite this, the service was as prompt as you would hope. Seeing the employees eating their own stuff is also assuring!

I did overhear conversations about no bone-in chicken here or at Mount Vernon. I see this as a comment in a lot of the low reviews. I didn't catch if there was actually a reason, but I got 2 generously portioned chicken sandwiches for $10, so this didn't have an impact on my visit. I'd probably be disappointed if I was somebody who ate at Bojangles regularly and came to here...
