Tried this place with an online pick-up order for our first time. First off it's very nice to see that in addition to dining in and calling orders in, they have online ordering available with fields for each item if you need to customize your order. We ordered around 1:00pm on a Sunday and got there to pick it up at the time it said it would be ready and they were very busy. I only had to wait an extra 10 minutes, which they told me was about how long it would be when I got there. I didn't think it was too bad seeing how busy they were. From what I could tell so far, their service is pretty good.
As for the food, most of it was fantastic. The egg rolls were pretty good, better than most of the other Chinese restaurants in the area. The fried pork wontons were great, but they had a good size piece of meat and were crispy and delicious. The chicken fried rice was good; the chicken in it was a little bland by itself but with the rice it was better, the rice itself was good, but I think it needs more vegetables. The beef meifun was amazing and probably the best dish we ordered; it was a good sized portion with lots of meat, the beef was tender and delicious, and the noodles were flavorful and tasty with plenty of egg and vegetables. The sesame chicken on the house specials menu was also great; it was very saucy, a good sized portion and the chicken was tender and delicious.
We saw they have sushi as well and decided to try that as well. It was a little disappointing. We got a spicy tuna roll and the Kellogg roll, which was tuna, avocado, and cucumber. You only get 6 little pieces in each roll for 6.50 and 6.95 for each rolls. They were made kind of sloppily and were not really worth the price. They tasted alright, but I would say they are comparable to the sushi you can find in some grocery stores. You can get bigger and better rolls from Fujiyama for about the same price.
Overall though, I would say this place is great. If you want some great Chinese food, this place is probably the best in the area, especially for takeout. We'll have to try a sit down meal here sometime to get a feel for the atmosphere and how good their service is. I give it 4/5 stars because of how good the Chinese food was, especially the meifun noodles, which I think is makes up for the...
Read moreMuch like other reviews state, I was passing through and wanted something other than the chain restaurants that are prevalent in the area. Took a chance on this place and I tend to test Chinese takeout spots by ordering shrimp fried rice, maybe a chicken dish, and dumplings - I got the shrimp fried rice and fried dumplings to go around lunchtime.
The shrimp fried rice was some of the best fried rice I've had across many cities and states in the country, full of flavor. The fried dumplings were fresh, you could taste the garlic and scallions within each dumpling and it came with sauce for you to dip.
While I only ordered takeout, the ambiance of the place leaves much to be desired - it's in a small, nondescript strip mall, and inside, the bar space to the right is entirely out of service, and the tables and chairs in the seating area to the left are serviceable. My guess is that it's largely for takeout but I wouldn't mind eating in if I had more time to sit and it was just me and a close friend who wouldn't mind.

Read moreSo I have been getting food since they have opened just about. The food for the most part is great!... But only if and when they make it as ordered which doesn't happen often sadly. I have finally reached my final straw when I asked for a dish not spicy and here it came totally covered in pepper, which in itself, isn't even standard with this dish. (PS I had this dish non-spicy before). Other times when I order beef and green beans, I get beef and veggies instead - half the veggies get thrown out. Only one time was I asked if this would be okay since they were low on veggies. But every since then, it's almost assumed. My orders will become even less frequent I guess which is sad because I rather support them than Panda Express or other chain restaurants. But it stinks not getting the food...
