We decided to try this fazoli's as an after graduation meal because we wanted Italian. We were quite disappointed in our whole experience.
The gentleman working the counter was curt - bordering downright rude - when we were trying to place an order. We were a group of 8 people, and we told him up front, and he was verbally not excited about our group size. We got through the line and everyone ordered, then the fun began.
The first tray of food was brought to our table, and now looking back, I think it belonged to another table, but the delivery was so poorly handled we wouldn't have known at the time. The same gentleman who took our order was bringing the food out. He got to the table, and started asking who had what, but was using very general terms - "Who got the lasagna?", " who got the alfredo?", and "who got the #9?". All of us, not being intimately aquatinted with the menu, asked clarifying questions, and we were a big group who - to our discredit - were not all paying immediate attention, but this encounter ended with the man putting the last item - a #9 baked lasagna - on the table and saying "well someone ordered the baked lasagna". In fact, no one at our table ordered the baked lasagna (back to my original statement that I don't think we got our order...).
Then, my favorite part of the day: this same person walked back to the kitchen and loudly said "That table is trying my patience today". Loudly enough for all of us at the table to hear.
The fun continued when we didn't get all of our order - 3 people had to repeat their orders and they had to me made. To the store's credit, they were all made, and we all ate, but the overall experience was very poor.
The food is what you would expect from a fast food operation, but I would personally pay 3 times more for olive garden next time, if nothing more than just for better customer service.
The employee in question also dropped several cards with QR codes asking for 5 star reviews and requested mentioning him by name. For obvious reason, I declined to do so and honestly don't even know his name. But we will not be back to this establishment, and we have connections to the Upland/Marion area.
**Resonse to owner: Sorry, the ship has sailed, I have no interest in pursuing further. I suggest better customer...
Read moreHonestly this Fazoli would get zero stars from me, if google would let me. I just got off working a 12hr shift with only getting 3hrs of sleep prior. I put in a scheduled order before even getting to the establishment so that way I could just get it and come home. Upon arrival, I had to not only sit in drive thru almost 5 minutes before anyone came to the speaker, but was also told my order had been cancelled. Like, what?! Basically told me that I had to replace the order, even after I had already been sitting there 15 minutes at this point arguing because I had already paid, but whatever. I pulled out of line, reordered & had to wait another 15 minutes. THE ORDER WAS ONLY FOR DANG BREADSTICKS!! The guy hands me the bag and I could already tell they weren’t what I was expecting, but I was not waiting any longer. I’m mad & cussing as I walk out the door because of not only the poor service, but I can hear the others in the back talking crap. Whatever, I’m out. I get home to eat & lone behold, the breadsticks are cold & hard like they had been sitting there for lord knows how long. Needless to say, I will NEVER eat at this establishment again. Poor quality, poor service, poor environment, just all around a...
Read moreMy wife and I are frequent guests at the Marion Fazoli's store... We have gotten somewhat familiar with both the crew and management... We enjoy walking into there and being personally recognized and spoken to more as friends rather than bland customers who feel more like just a number... We have been there when the store has been in many various modes of operation... Slow time... Prep for rush time... Rush time... Clean up after rush time... Prep for closing time... Regardless of what is happening in the day, the team seems capable, confident, most always busy doing their assigned work and able to give a few moments to the customers.... My wife and I have recently gone to a different establishment where the prices were significantly higher and we received what I would call... Drive by service... We could not seem to draw the attention of the server to attend to our needs and was quite upset to receive such service, we discussed this with the on floor manager as we were leaving and letting them know that we enjoy Fazoli's much better and the specific reasons to that fact! The team at Marion does seem to be more on top of real customer service than a few other brand name...
