Runnings — Local services in Marion

I was at the Marion store today, 3/18/24, and was there to purchase something from the sporting goods section. I stood at and around the counter for 45mins to an hour, all the while not one single associate asked if I needed help. Plenty of them walked by me on their way to the back room area, but not one asked if they could help. I was there to purchase a couple of specific items from behind the counter, but apparently they’re just for show. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ll be taking my business back to Rural King where I know that when I walk up to the counter there, I’m greeted before I get close and the associates there are more than willing to do their jobs and provide excellent customer service. It’s unfortunate because I found exactly what I wanted at Runnings, but they evidently didn’t care to sell it to me. It’s a nice store, but the customer service is severely lacking. This was only my second visit to the store and I can say, for the drive, I’ll likely take my business back to RK where the associates know how to treat...

Let me start with the fact that the associates I interacted with were knowledgeable and immensely helpful. This location has had a NUMBER of different brandings over the past few years, but this iteration of it seems to have remebered what made it successful each time. They have retained a great number of my favorites, like Eileen's candies, and major brands like my preferred 3M furnace filters... among others. They have meanwhile laid out the store so it is easy to navigate--even with the metal flat carts-- a real plus in these times of "cram as much as possible into the space you have." Even in the midst of a "grand opening", the people that staff the store take the time to help...

Easy shopping trip. Couldn't find the chicken food I was looking for. Seems like they don't have much control over what they receive and keeping feed in stock. Don't like switching feeds on a moments notice. Seems to always create problems for the animals. Well, it's a good thing that we have options close by. Other than that, I really like this store. Today, checkout was not so great. The gentleman at the register was rude and difficult. Customer service training is definitely recommended. On the positive note, one lady was extremely...
