Bob Evans — Restaurant in Marion

Upon arrival my wife and I were told the dining room was full with about 30 minutes wait and asked if we were okay with that. When we said yes, the young man at the door told us that if we wanted to wait in the entrance he would come get us when a table was ready. The waiting area was not heated and after about 20 minutes my wife heard a young lady tell other customers there was no waiting! That young man left my wife and I sitting in a very cold waiting area while incoming guests were being seated ON MOTHER'SDAY! Our appetizers were not brought out until our entrees were ready and by the time we got to the entree parts were getting cold, parts of our meals were forgotten, our tab was brought to us before we even got half way through our meal and my wife was asked if she wanted a coffee to go at that time as well, leaving us feeling rushed. As if all of that wasn't irritating enough the person my wife talked to about this had a very dismissive attitude! So here I am, making it public. First and last time at this location in Marion. Much better experiences at other locations though and will still enjoy other Bob Evans locations. 1 star because the...

There was a long wait to be served tonight. It was at least 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order and at least another 10 before the drinks got to us. Our server had to come back 3 times to confirm parts of our order. It took over 30 minutes to get our food and the waitress dropped my mother in law's food on accident. My food and my husband's food got cold while waiting on her order to come back out, which took at least another 10 minutes. We tried to give the server the benefit of the doubt because she seemed fairly new, but service was not great. Refills had to be asked for and it took so long we didn't bother asking for a 2nd one. When we did start eating, my omelette was not done and the hashbrowns were still crunchy. This plus bad service the last 2 times we have been there means we will not be returning any time in the near future. We tried to let them redeem themselves, but that obviously...

Had breakfast there this morning 11-4 with the wife. I’ll try to make the description short and to the point..... Had to wait for the hostess to come out front to seat us. Then she wasn’t too overly friendly.

Got our first coffee from the manager, that went ok.

Ordered food and then waited. Had to stop the waitresses to get more coffee.

Food came and my order was incomplete, no sausage patties.

Still having to ask for more coffee.

Sausage patties finally came, cut into one and the bottom was burnt black crisp! Told waitress that wasn’t going to work. She takes them back and ten minutes later after I’ve eaten my pancakes the sausage comes. Leave to pay our bill and the hostess just takes my money. No questions how everything was, no thank you, no communication whatsoever. Will not go back. Typical Marion Indiana restaurant hospitality. Still waiting on...
