Wendy's — Restaurant in Marion

I literally have been coming to Wendy’s literally longer than these worker's been alive. So when I tell you it’s hurts me to leave this review but I Literally feel racially profiled, I mean it is Marion,IL so it’s not a huge surprise but Wendy’s??? I went in on today 3/28/24 at 5:53pm just in the area with my husband & our 2 children. A dark hair young lady with piercing & glasses looked at us and kept moving along without saying a word. After a 2nd walk back she asked”what are we having?” I said “the 2 kids will have the jr. bacon meals crispy on the bacon please.” I was (& again for the FIRST TIME IN OVER 30 YEARS of eating Wendy’s, was told by this same young lady that “ the bacon is precooked and she’s not sure if they can cook it any longer than precooked temp & that she could check but in fact she’s almost certain they didn’t.” This being my first time hearing this and her offering to check for sure… I waited & watched while she went over to the 2 female cooks (1 with blonde hair the other lady dark low Haircut I believe) who also looked about her age (all under 21) . I watched the cashier whisper while shaking her head & this cut throat body language she was giving off, I already knew what time it was. She came back and told me they could not put the bacon on the grill like they do the burgers bc it was “precooked already “ I was speechless and just took my family & went to steak & shake! I refuse to believe that in Almost 4 decades of me ordering crispy bacon from just about every Wendy’s in just about every state in USA that nobody would have informed me of the no well done bacon. Will not be returning and will be sharing...

A Food Inspectors Dream Destination - Avoid If You Value Your Health.

We stopped in here recenty after a long drive on the way to Florida, it was approximately 9PM - I don't think we have ever been in a dirtier, grimier, grungy restaurant, ever. We should have left but were so hungry and tired we just pushed forward.

There was food all over the floor in the kitchen, bits of fries and debris under the fryers, surfaces covered in filth and the entrance door was so greasy and covered with hand and fingerprints it could have been featured as a showpiece in some law enforcement museum for taking evidence at a crime scene.

The staff was all in the back doing who knows what, and the woman who took our order was dopey, checked out, and slow as molasses.

Dining room was filthy, the irony was that there was no one else there, so the staff could have taken the opportunity to clean like hell, yet this did not happen. We had to line our table with napkins just to sit down. Crumbs and debris all over the floor - drink cup lid holders covered in grease and bits of ketchup on the counter area where condiments are served. Thankfully the utensils were spared as they were individually wrapped.

It's clear this place needs to be shut down for several days and literally scrubbed top to bottom, and the staff either re-educated on food safe practices, or replaced altogether. Wendy's should be ashamed to have a franchise location representing their brand so poorly. We will never be back I can guarantee you.

Such a disgusting travesty - thank God we didn't go into the bathrooms, I can only imagine. AVOID...

I enjoy coming here. We ordered 3 spicy chicken sandwiches and a number 1. As we were waiting for our order, the manager was looking at the order board and asked for our receipt. He said he wanted to fix our order. I didn't know there was something wrong as I'm usually checking to make sure everything we ordered is printed on the receipt. He refunded me some money as he said chicken sandwiches were 2 for $5.00. I'm very satisfied as he was paying attention to not only what is ordered but the pricing, making sure we were taken care of. Aside from this visit, there was a time when a woman with the fake long nails took our order. She just handled a wad of cash from a pouch, went to the fry station and filled my fries. Her thumb was at the top and inside where the food goes, as she filled, her thumb was touching my fries. I was grossed out. And, usually the soda station is sticky and messy. Overall, with other orders, any time we've had issues, we've had no problem...
