Yesterday, my family and I ate here while we were visiting family in the area. The set up of the restaurant was good and the atmosphere was very calm and collected. I had the gyro and shrimp pasta with a Lebanese tea. For an appetizer we had the fried cheese sticks. All were cooked well and tasted great. The food was reasonably priced and not overly expensive. Although I give this place 5 stars, I have to be honest and say that the service for the day was sub par; however, not to the fault of the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and very helpful with us when we had questions about the menu. Unfortunately, for all that worked there, they were severely short staffed which caused longer than necessary wait times. The reason why I don’t fault the restaurant for this is because many restaurants now a days are unable to get workers (hence the many “now hiring” signs you see all over). With the helpers they did have, the service was as good as it could’ve been. I applaud the waitresses and staff of staying professional and cordial in an extremely stressful and frustrating situation of not having enough workers to cover that night. I would definitely recommend anyone in town who wants to eat some Mediterranean food to eat here. It is...
Read moreThe food was great and exceeded my expectations. The cuisine alone deserves a five rating. It's obvious there's an experienced and passionate chef in the back of the house. The front of the house needs improvement. The wait staff is friendly, but needs training. Our waitress didn't mention the specials. When asked what particular items were on the menu, she told us she didn't know for several of them. We had to prompt her to go ask someone what some items were and tell us. It appeared from her responses to other questions that she hadn't ever eaten from the menu. This is a Lebanese restaurant, and many patrons will undoubtedly be unfamiliar with the cuisine. It's crucial for the wait staff to be able to explain what entrees are, and describe the food in appealing ways and sell it. Getting them interested in entrees they're unfamiliar with will get customers coming back to experience new things. Our waitress, while very polite, didn't seem to know basics like taking used plates from the table, or getting us interested in deserts. I sense this is a new restaurant, so undoubtedly they need to get the bugs worked out. I intend to eat here again when I'm in town as the food is wonderful. I hope the service can match the...
Read moreMy husband and I TRIED to have a drink and dinner at Habibi's last night and ended up walking out. The female owner and 2 waitresses were in the restaurant. There must have been a private dinner party in the side room because there were no other customers sitting in the restaurant or at the bar. Three different times my husband ordered a drink and each time , either the owner or one of the waitresses became distracted and walked away. One time, someone came in for a pickup order that had been prepaid and was sitting on the bar next to the door. Another time, the waitress that was taking my husband's drink order literally walked away and could be seen bringing a tray of food to the other part of the restaurant. The menu was uninteresting. There is no sense of organization. The liquor stock was minimal at best and incomplete. The owner bad mouthed the gyro stated that it was processed and not homemade. Glad that we walked out because we had an incredible experience at Broken Wheel Brewery. The reviews for this restaurant are definitely overrated or old or written by a friend/family member...
