Abysmal. We placed a lunch order at 10:40 for dine-in. At 10:57, we noticed two bags sitting behind the counter. They had not called our names. During those 17 minutes we heard cursing, slamming, and a lot of yelling from the kitchen, even hearing some choice words about our orders specifically. We were the only customers inside, nobody at the drive-through.
When we approached the counter, after sitting in the lobby for half an hour (it took 10 minutes to order because of issues with the BK app), one of two employees gruffly asked if he can help us. When we explained that the orders just sitting there were ours and supposed to be for dine-in, not take-out, he claimed he didn't see us and grumpily tossed our orders onto the counter so we could take them, the entire time grumbling and mouthing off.
We sit back down, and the one male employee starts talking (about us) to the female employee, and then they both proceed to stare at us while we eat. We hear the male employee scream the f word when the drive through buzzer went off, as he was walking to the front door. We finish our food, clean up, and go to leave while the kitchen continues to yell, curse, and stare at us.
When we get to the door (we are INSIDE), we find it to be locked. Apparently, the guy decided to lock us inside the store without saying anything. When he saw us leaving he ran out to follow us out, staring the entire time, and then locked the door behind us after standing with the door open staring at us get in our car.
Hands down the wildest, and worst experience I have ever had at a fast food place. Avoid at all costs, this place gets a -2/10
Edit: went back again, still sucks...
Read moreThere’s a reason why there’s a sign in the vestibule says to pardon their employees/crew members. The sign has been sitting in different spots of the entrance since the days of the grand opening and, clearly, that is a wise disclaimer.
At this location, it is noteworthy that, with the exception of the Drive-Thru during evening rush and during lent (particularly if you’re going there for the BK Big Fish Sandwich,) the crew members treat the restaurant as it is — a property to the side of U.S. Highway 9 that is facing the wrong direction for the rush hours. By that, I mean they are already treating it like a lost cause. The place appears to be clean, but now it seems like a hideout for suspicious people (like one foreign gentleman that sounded like he was yelling at his henchman to disarm an alarm while he spies on him through the cameras using his laptop and BK’s free Wi-Fi.)
The food, more importantly, is OK at best… but at this location in particular, the burgers, chicken and condiments (particularly the mayonnaise when used on the chicken sandwiches,) taste very manufactured and chemical-like. It tastes almost anything but flame-grilled. I will say, though, that this BK keeps their fish sandwich on-par with every other fast food joint, sometimes better than the other local choices, DURING lent (and while I, personally, do not participate in lent nor go by their beliefs, I find it the perfect opportunity to indulge on the sea-caught deliciousness during this time in...

Update 1: Been here several times in hopes that it would get better. Order is always wrong, food is cold, employees are clueless and the waiting is always long. Please wake up and fix this place! Didn't you see the giant line across the street at McD's? That's what you need the beat!
Update over 1 year later...I gave this BK several chances and it's a let down every time. Food is cold, order is wrong, slow service, etc. Also, during the Covid19 outbreak you think they would have stepped up their game, but NO. So shame on me for giving them too many chances. They officially lost a customer at this restaurant. Where is the quality control department!?! I dare the staff, managers and owner to travel down Rt 18 and try the BK in East Brunswick...the difference is night and day. Also, let me be clear, I understand this is BK and not a 5 star restaurant...but all I ask for is hot and fast food as it should be. Not slow and cold. And when my 6 year old daughter is upset because you forgot the sweet and sour sauce, or the fries all together, how many times can I tolerate that?! Looks like I'll be waving to you from across the street at the Mcd's or Popeyes line....
