Tried for the first time today - take out, will perhaps be my last. Couple of reasons - 1. Ordered a roti, which was delivered like raw atta, not baked - inedible 2. Chicken 65 - guess it was my mistake to order that from a restaurant named Tandoor - it was fried pieces of chicken in thick god knows what batter, lots of red food color and some some random curry leaves to make it chicken 65 .... i threw away the dish, utter waste of money! 3. Veg Tawa masala - I don’t know what they made - it was like a lot of eggplant and few other veggies, pressure cooked and made into a mash - which tasted below average, and had zero tawa taste! 4. Dal makhni was average.... and what else do I have to say, our dinner was ruined, money down the drain! Never ever again - people - stay away from this place, even if you are dying for food and this is the only option in the 20 mile radius..... go away!! See pics.... yuck!

I would like to highly recommend a really delicious Indian/Thai/Chinese place in this region. We started with Soups, Vegetables rolls, vegetables and chicken dumplings, chicken tikka, fish, paneer tikka, coriander chicken. Everything was really amazing. Then we had unbelievable Dum biryani. Final surprise which made it absolutely amazing experience was sitafal kulfi (which you can only get here). Restaurent manager Nadir is a wonderful person. His hospitality is remarkable and he took extra care to make our eating experience great. Must visit...

Just ordered 2 chicken tiki masalas, one hot and one mild with 2 orders of garlic naan and 2 orders of vegetable samosa yet sadly receive two normal not even mild chicken tiki masalas, 1 plain order of naan, and some weird squishy potatoes and cold rice. The chicken is rubbery as ever and the weird fried potatoes are soggy and mushy. Not happy at all. Number provided on website and Google is not working. We dined in last week or the week before and it was good but tonight such a poor experience. Will take business to Sawan in the future…

BAD TURNED UGLY EXPERIENCE with Tandoor Indian restaurant (next to Costco in Marlboro/Morganville/Oct 2021): I placed a food catering order with Tandoor Indian restaurant for a community get together of about 30 people, I even re-confirmed the order on the day of the event. When I went to pick up the food, about an hour before the get together started, I was told by the Tandoor staff that the food was not cooked (none!). Kitchen appears to be working and they were preparing smaller orders, but I could sense total chaos with continuous unanswered phone calls. There was no responsible person or the owner in the restaurant to answer any questions. A couple of restaurant staff available at that time were completely clueless on how to handle the customers. Myself and the restaurant staff tried to reach the Tandoor restaurant owner but no one answered the calls. This left me to scramble for an alternate plan for the food for the event that was scheduled to begin in one hour. Restaurant never called me earlier to let me know about any sort of issues that might have caused this to occur. Believe me, it was a nightmare situation, your credibility was at stake, imagine an event and you are responsible for the food and in the last hour realizing the restaurant ditched you. It was very irresponsible behavior. (We ended up cooking at home and one nearby restaurant saved me with a few smaller orders). Even in the worst case, if there was an unexpected incident, Tandoor restaurant should have called me to let me know or at least a responsible person should have been at the restaurant to explain the customer or help them with alternate options. I would never trust this restaurant for any sort of food orders, personal or for group/catering orders. Think five times before placing any order with Tandoor restaurant Morganville NJ unless you are ready to cook yourself at the last moment.

Now if you think that was bad, it TURNED EVEN UGLY. I gave a few days to see if anyone would call me with an explanation, after about 5 days I went there to speak to the Tandoor restaurant owner. To my very surprise, he was not at all apologetic about the incident and responded to me saying, some incident happened that day, and asked me to just “move on”. He was not at all ready to even sympathize with me for the crazy situation I had to handle due to their irresponsibility. When I mentioned my intention of sharing this incident on social media, he started verbally abusing me and used obscene language on me in front of all other customers (not quoting his words due to my decency). He also told me that “he doesn't care” about any reviews. I am seriously humiliated by his behavior. If Tandoor restaurant owner thinks the customers don't have self esteem, he is completely wrong. Abusing a customer even verbally is not at all allowed in this country. How can someone trust this kind of person to prepare food for our loved one to eat??

On top of completely ignoring the catering order, his arrogant behavior and using indecent language on a customer to cover up the incident is completely unacceptable. The biggest mistake I made is that, even after hearing bad experience about Tandoor restaurant from some of my friends, and when I had other restaurant choices around the Marlboro, Sayreville NJ area, and even Oak tree road restaurants was just 15 mins away, I chose, and trusted Tandoor restaurant for my food order. I will never ever repeat the mistake of ordering any food from Tandoor restaurant, Morganville NJ. I am also exploring my rights as a New Jersey customer, against such...

Tandoor catered our wedding and we couldn't have made a better choice for the catering of our event. From the food to the service, it was all immaculate. Every time we have had the food at Tandoor it has always been amazing. The menu is both interesting and creative and was part of the reason why we chose tandoor to cater our event. We tried food at other preferred vendors such as Moghul, Rasoi and Chand Palace, but the food couldn’t compare with the quality and consistency of Tandoor.

The other reason we went with Tandoor was Nadir Gillani. Nadir uncle actually catered my sister’s wedding 10 years ago, and even then his food was amazing. He went above and beyond any expectation we could have had and treated us as if we were his own family and made sure to take care of our event as such. His food left a lasting impression on us and our guests and several of them asked for his information to use him fir their own future events. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes but were blown away by his take on orange kulfi and the live mal pua station that we had. We got married almost a month ago and our guests are still raving about the desserts.

Nadir uncle is truly a master of his trade. His food is amazing, his service is amazing and the fact that we went back to have him cater our event 10 years after my sister’s speaks volumes on his consistency. We will definitely be going back for future events or just...

Used these guys for catering - holy smokes was it worth it!!

We catered an event of about 250 people, and I ordered samosas as an appetizer, chicken tikka masala, paneer mutter, goat curry, nans, pulav rice as the main course, and gulab jamun for dessert. I placed the order with Sunny, and he maintained communication with me throughout the week. Food was delivered earlier than required, and was well packaged.

First and foremost, the quality of the food was top notch. Our church has been using a few vendors now for food, and this was the first time we've changed it up. The people were pleasantly surprised, and we received many inquiries about the meal. And almost as important - the quantity of the food was abundant. There were leftovers for each dish (and more than enough people volunteering to take home the precious remains).

The samosas where huge, crisp and delicious. They packed well so none got crushed. The chicken tikka had plenty of chicken, same with the lamb. Delicious and abundant. The gulab jam were large, and the best i've had at any restaurant. Most importantly they were hand hand made at the shop (I specifically checked for this - can't stand it when I order dessert form a restaurant and get canned garbage).

Would use these guys again in a heartbeat. Talk to Sunny. He may cut you a deal if you're nice. Seems to be an all...
