I have been to this restaurant a number of times and in fact introduced this to a lot of family members because of the decent food and pricing. We got friendly with the helpful server Sally and she is very helpful. However, I think it is important that I share my experience with the owners or whoever is managing the restaurants. There are two things that I would like to share that really turned me away from this restaurant. First incident, we had ordered a dinner item (Unagi with Rice) on the menu advertises that the dinner comes with salad and soup. The server (Not Sally) did not bring the salad but only the soup. When we asked about it, she said that the menu was incorrect and should have been corrected. Instead of graciously explaining the issue and offering the salad that was advertised, she was defensive and acted as if we were wrong. We told her that it was not the customer's fault for their printing error. Second incident, I tried to schedule a dinner for a party of 10 people and I understood that because of COVID, we will need to be in separate tables. I contacted Sally and she said that she would check with the manager. She called back and indicated to me that her manager did not want to take our reservation because Friday nights and Saturday nights are busy nights and they want to have the space open for OTHER customers. When asked whether they do not have availability at all, she said no but the manager did not want to take our reservation on a busy day for reasons that could not be explained to me. The most ridiculous thing that was conveyed to me was that the manager offered a day that they are not busy and asked me to change my dinner plan with my friends to accommodate them so that we can fill their tables when they are not busy. There is no Customer Service at all, not to mention customer appreciation. We feel that we are penalized for being good loyal customers that the owners do not feel that they need to retain anymore. I was told that they have availability but prefer to take smaller parties of 2 in multiple tables rather than 2 tables with 10 people. I feel that the restaurant does not value their customers at all and you do not deserve...
Read moreDon't judge a book by its cover Go in, sit down and have some of the best freaking sushi you'll find anywhere. Buddy and i went in, he looked the seafood soup alot, appetizer were the money bags which are awesome, save the plate to dip your other sushi in. We ordered the crazy roll, the hot girl (not a typo), the Boston lobster dish, and something else that begins with the letter "F" can't recall exact name, it was good very good though. We also got a spicy tuna sashimi and seaweed dish comes in 3 little bowls for sharing. The Food is AMAZING go go go. As for the restaurant itself very nice, clean, lots of seating. Bathroom was clean lol. One huge complaint.... The cold from the outside comes in if sit near the front. They should block the breeze somehow
edit Jan/24 the service was very slow. very. they weren't super busy but it still took 10m to get a coke and water. the sushi took almost an hour, when we sat down I asked that they bring it out as it was made instead of waiting for everything to be done. we had ordered 7 rolls and were starving. after about 35 minutes I went and spoke to the waiter and I asked if he could speak to the manager, who is the head chef evidently. apologies where made by the waiter, but we never got to speak to the manager.
I think they are unable to keep up with table orders because they have so many pick up orders. they need to find a better way to handle in restaurant guests.
This was the first time in years I have left a tip below 20% , but the service was that poor. very disappointing, the food quality was still great, but service seems to be struggling, this has happened before and seems to becoming the trend.. we'll likely just do take out from here forward
one other thing minor thing...I'd bring back the cloth napkins, or put dispensers on the tables. when I spend $160 to $200 for a meal a single white paper napkin isn't the...
Read moreGreat food ... but if it's delivery, you better have your own sauces. Done ordering delivery from this place. I ordered twice this week, once on Monday and once today, Wednesday. Monday's delivery comes and there is no coconut dipping sauce for the coconut shrimp (even though the advertisement specifically highlights their coconut dipping sauce). Also, I ordered dumplings (gyoza) and there was barely enough sauce for half of the order.
So, despite that mess up, I order again today. This time, I SPECIFICALLY INCLUDE NOTES SAYING PLEASE INCLUDE THE SAUCES. I ordered two orders of dumplings, and guess what? I get one sauce, not even two, and it was the exact same amount that I got last time, which was enough to dip only 1/2 the order. So now I have 1 1/2 orders of dumplings and no sauce for them. I also included another note, SPECIFICALLY SAYING THAT I DID NOT GET ANY COCONUT DIPPING SAUCE ON MONDAY, AND TO PLEASE INLCLUDE. Well, guess what. They did include some .... a little. When I say "a little" - I mean a very, very little. I mean, and I am not exaggerating, like enough to dip one of the shrimps, and that's it!!!! I dipped one shrimp, and it's empty!!!!!!!! It was laughable ... couldn't believe it.
They're trying to save money by skimping on dipping sauce?? Is that it?? I don't know, because I really don't get it. I've spent a lot of money ordering from this place, and it makes no difference. I tip the driver, whether Grubhub or Doordash, makes no difference. Today, even included notes in the order, specifically asking for enough sauce ... made no difference. I'm done eating at this place. Maybe they care ... maybe they don't. If they do, well, here you go ... now you know why you lost this customer.
(I took some pictures ......
