I had been looking forward to trying Street Kitchen for a while and finally visited with my family. We tried the following dishes : Chicken Kadhai with Rumaali Roti Chicken Kadhai is served with rice. It has the classic kadhai flavor, very well freshly cooked chicken and veggies. I was really happy find that they serve Rumaali roti. I really enjoyed the chicken kadhai but my personal opinion is that they could lower the spice level just a wee bit. Also note that they do appear open to any special requests for your dishes.
Manchurian Chicken Pizza Really good indo-chinese fusion pizza. The whole family loved it.
Chicken Tikka Pasta This was also flavorful and unique combination of chicken tikka with pasta.
Aloo Unda and Chicken Unda Kathi Rolls I think their Kathi rolls are best in our area. Many other places just add Garam masala to their Kathi roll stuffings. Street Kitchen has that unique Kathi roll masala taste. Both the chicken and the potato were fresh and great tasting rolls.
Overall the kathi rolls and chicken Manchurian were the family favorites. The service was friendly and superb!! For me this was a 5 star worthy experience. I am knocking off a star mainly for the use of some plastic and styrofoam. I know this is more due to the pandemic and I hope post-pandemic they serve and pack everything in compostable containers. Bottomline I highly recommend to anyone who wants to take a stab at Indian street flavors and some Indian fusion dishes. Looking forward to more trips to Street Kitchen to get my dose of some good Indian fusion...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust had the worst food from Street Kitchen. I have never complained about poor customer service as long as I get somewhat of a quality product/item from a place of business. I only ordered from them because they had rumali roti on their menu. I ordered goat curry, saag chicken and rumali roti. Never got the roti. The goat curry is disgusting with red chilli powder visible to naked eye and the salan/masala has no flavor to it, it looks as if water and red chilli powder were added to increase quantity but not cooked thoroughly (not that it would have made a difference, it tasted and smelled like old tennis shoes, if old tennis shoes had a flavorš¤). There were 4 pieces of bones, 2 with a bite of goat meat on it. I would not have been upset if I could have eaten the salan/masala but it was nauseating. Then the saag looked like palak paneer run through the blender with few pieces of either barbecued or steamed chicken. I am shocked this is an actual restaurant. You can fool others who are not from the subcontinent but not us who can cook very efficiently on our own and have recipes handed down for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a disappointment! We were drawn to this place by the fusion food menu. Opted for dine-in and were kept waiting for 40+ minutes. First nudge- 'the pizza is in the oven'. Second nudge- 'we are really busy, you have to wait for few more minutes'. We had a toddler with us and perhaps they could have been more mindful. The server (also the cashier) could have given us a heads up right at the time of ordering that they are super busy with takeout orders and would prefer keeping dine in customers waiting. At the end, not sure if she was the owner or another server unapologetically said you can decide to take the food or cancel it. Perhaps they had a bad day or as one of recent reviews mentioned, service was really bad. To top it off, she said we provided your appetizer well on time since you ordered on the phone, as if that was a favor done to us. We decided to just get done with it and pack our food. At the end food matters, but the taste was meh :( Definitely not visiting again or recommending to...
