Crown Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Marlborough

This is my first time visiting here. As a preface, the fried chicken, I'm most familiar with is KFC, broasted chicken, I used to make for over four years at my first job, or something out of a grocery store deli. So in a way I have a little bit of a taste for this.

I purchased the three-piece chicken and fries combo, but I opted for potato wedges of fries because I am biased towards those over fries.

The chicken tasted like it was brined (which is a good thing). The outside of the chicken was nice and crunchy as expected and very light. Not too oily, and the spice that was used in the breading was light as well. Definitely doesn't have the herbs and spices taste as one might be accustomed to, but it got the job done.

The potato wedges were my favorite part of the meal because the outside was truly crispy and not burnt and seasoned well. Typically, I would eat these with ketchup or ranch, but luckily, I was happy with eating them as they came.

If you're searching for an alternative to KFC, this is a good spot, but that's not to say KFC is better.

Yuck!! Easily the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to: fake onion rings with no actual onions used, overcooked burned stinky fish WITH the skin still attached where we thought we’d get sick eating it, no cheese on the mac & cheese just some type of yellowish tint to the pasta with zero taste, mediocre fries, somehow made simply bread rolls disgusting where everyone in the family spit them out (like with some of the other items), & the “highlight” of the meal was the chicken but sadly it was well below average. No salt or seasoning used. This place needs a complete Gordon Ramsay overhaul. Sadly I had passed this spot for 10 years or so and had been curious to try it & was excited to do so, but that level of excitement was far surpassed by the massive disappointment my family and I experienced giving it a shot. We tried everything but that was all we ate. We sealed it all up and threw it in the trash not saving anything for leftovers. The food will be fresh and mostly accurate (if you ever notice anything point it out and they fix it pretty quick), this specific location is really great because of how well the communication is between the employees. The also have chicken for on the go but its rarely there on rush hours because everyone is ordering it.

It is Halal so like kosher but basically the Islamic stamp of approval

Clean location, parking, and surroundings, the inside is clean and the bathrooms are fine.

They are cheap and reasonably affordable prices are written on the huge displays above and on top of the inside table bench, with combos on the left side.

The chicken is crispy and crunchy and really hot, not much seasoning on the chicken but it's fine, the subs are well wrapped and the gyros are pretty darn solid.

The only thing I havent tried is the shrimp or fish plater but everything else is...
