My partner and I dined here on a whim one Friday night, it was busy as expected for a Friday night. We waited a few minutes before we were greeted and seated. It is a nice, clean restaurant with friendly staff. Prices were similar to other Thai Restaurants. $12 curry, the vegetarian spring rolls were a bit over priced $9, a bit small and they didn't have fried tofu in them and were bland. The peanut sauce didn't seem to have a peanut taste to it. The side of hoisin and sweet and sour sauces that came with the spring rolls made up for it. I asked for a side of chili oil but they didn't have chili oil, they have chili flakes. We ordered red curry tofu and massaman tofu. The potatoes in the massaman curry were under cooked and it tasted similar to the red curry. It was a satisfactory experience.

We had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Aroy-D! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic meal. The satay sauce was an absolute star — perfectly creamy with just the right balance of sweetness and a hint of spice. The red curry was a symphony of flavors: rich, fragrant, and wonderfully spiced without being overpowering. Every bite was bursting with authentic Thai goodness. To top it all off, the jasmine rice was impeccably cooked, light, and fragrant — the perfect complement to soak up the velvety curry sauce. The service was friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even better. If you're craving bold, authentic Thai flavors, Aroy-D is a must-visit. We can't wait to go back!

The worst Thai food I’ve ever had…I opened the box of the crab fried rice and it STUNK of cigarettes. My husband and I were starving so we took about two bites before gagging because it even tasted like cigarettes. I didn’t know chain smoking was legal in the kitchen of a restaurant. The also left crab shell in it which I choked on in my second bite. I’ve never had this experience. I’m going to call the state for an inspection. Unless you want to spend $30+ On one meal and an appetizer that tastes like cigarettes I suggest avoiding this like the plague until the state closes it down. I would also like to add in the response they had to a negative comment…are 12 year olds running this restaurant😂

There was an order that shared my name. After they charged me for it, I realized the order was incorrect. This wasn't the problem. They brought me the takeout order that was supposed to be mine. I asked them to make sure it was mine. They assured me it was and I didn't want to open it because I had a long drive home and didn't want it to be cold. When I got home, it was again the other order. I called and they asked me to return it. So I brought it back. I asked them to make sure my order was resubmitted and warm. When I got there, they took the food that I returned and gave it directly to the other person that must have been waiting forever for their order (this order had been opened in my home). Then they gave me my cold order that had been sitting out for about an hour (give or take a few minutes. It was out the whole drive time from my home and back at the very least.) I asked them and they didn't really care. They were busy and I didn't want to cause a scene. So I took it and left. It was absolutely terrible service. My family has owned a restaurant for years and if this ever happened, there would be profuse apologizing and immediate rectification. I was shocked. The food is fantastic here, which is why I drive a long distance, but this was bad enough we will not go back. I am not one to leave reviews. This was poor service and I hope someone from...

** Review Update!! I previously rated their service pretty low because they used to be nearly impossible to reach by phone for call in orders. Things have changed 👍. They answer the phone every time and their turn around for phone orders is quick too. I’m a huge fan of Thai curries and they are the best I’ve found anywhere in Ogden.

Old review ☹️. The food is so good but the service is so not good. We’ve tried calling down there dozens of times to order take out and they have never answered the phone, accept for once when I really hoped they would pick up so I kept calling back several times after it would go to a voicemail they have, or whatever it was, and around the 3rd or 4th time they picked up the phone and then immediately hung it up. So I called back again and it was disconnected. I really wanted their red curry, so I was sad. We just went somewhere else. The wait to actually dine in is usually around an hour before they sit you. So, we've only ended up eating there 3 times when we were feeling very patience and diligent and all the other times we wanted good Tai food we just end up going somewhere else. If the service wasn't so poopy we'd go there every time, and I'd give them 5 stars, and I'd give them a high five and a hug, so they're a really...

Only reason I'm giving this place a 2 star rating is because the food is actually good. Don't plan on coming here if you like to wait 10+ minutes for someone to come to the table and an additional 10+ minutes for your drinks. First time we went, service was not good at all. Food was great but it takes forever for them to bring out your beer and/or water. Tried it out a second time...thinking the first time was just a fluke.....but instead it took even longer and our server was super rude. Didn't even apologize for the delay. I always give others the benefit of the doubt and look to see if they're short on staff or if the restaurant is busy. Neither of those applied on this particular day and again....she didn't even bother to apologize for taking 10-15 minutes just to get us our waters. We ended up excusing ourselves from the table and going elsewhere because we figured that it'd take even longer for our food to come out. For reference....it was a Tuesday evening and there were maybe 3-4 other tables and she was not the only one working.

I'll probably never come here again. May order for take-out but won't dine in. It's kind of a shame because their food is a 5 star rating...
