Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Marshall

Keep in mind were sitting around where the bar is... We ordered drinks, I got my beer 20mins after my wife and kids got their drinks, ok, no biggie, I can deal with that. I noticed that the server was tweaking (chewing her lips, tilting her head when she talked to you, spoke fast, made no sense and misunderstood everything) but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to discuss it at the table with our kids. Went to pick up my beer glass and it was so dirty on the outside, it really creeped me out... Felt like it had been sitting in a sink full of food and allowed to dry. We ordered or food, 45mins later we all got our food but my wife didn't get hers. Waitress apologized blamed it on the cook and said she would bring it asap, we waited a few mins but were encouraged by my wife to eat and not to wait on hers. We were almost finished and the waitress brought her food in a to-go box, we all kinds of giggled, I said damn she must be trying to get us out of here. My wife responded, I guess so, but i didn't ask for a to-go box, she then opened it up and it was wrong. She ordered the combo meal with the chicken strips, the sliders, and the boneless Buffalo wings ... so she told the waitress and she apologized, still blaming it on the cook (i was thinking.. look I don't care who's fault it is, I think it's Chili's fault, it's not mine) , she took it back, 15 mins later she brings it out again, wrong again! It came out with regular bone-in wings that were undercooked, sliders that the patties were still pink and the Southwest egg rolls... We told her to go up to the window where the manager was and tell him it's still wrong... His response was, what can I do to make it right? My wife told him, sir I just would like my food that I ordered. She came and sit back down and we waited and waited, we paid and were about to leave because our 12yr old and 9yr old were falling asleep at the table. The manager hurries to the table and hands my wife her food and two gift cards, two FIVE DOLLAR GIFT CARDS!! They didn't charge my wife for her food and my bill was still 100 bucks, so those five dollar gift cards were an insult, like rubbing salt in the wound. He says, I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong with her tonight! My wife and I both thought but didn't say it out loud, "How about a damn drug test for the waitress!" Is this manager completely blind/dumb? Maybe he's dealing it to them?? I don't know.... When we walked out, my 12 yr old son asked me, "Dad, you think she's on meth?" I was like wow! My son can see it, but the employer can't?? Two youngest kids were feeling sick, thank God after waking up the next morning they felt ok. Whew what...

I had dinner on Monday night here and it was one of the worst experiences at a resteraunt. Me and my significant other made it there at about 9:15PM we were Sat down at a booth by a man that was not even on the clock anymore; he proceeded to take our drink order although he was not on the clock. I asked for a presidente margarita and a michelob, we were then carded for our drinks which is obviously understandable....about 20 minutes goes by and we still weren't served our drinks. I then asked my server that was a complete different person from who took our drink orders, where our drinks were and let her known I ordered them when we were Sat down. She then comes back to tell me she is unable to serve us our drinks per TABC law she then asks a manager and the manager said she could not do anything as well per TABC law. My significant other requested to see the manager and she made it to our table and had an attitude although whom I was with also did not have a good attitude does not matter at the end because if we weren't able to be served our drinks that should have been told at the time of ordering them. I then proceeded to step out to make a phone call regarding TABC law And in the process the same manager locked me out, I then called chili's and let them know I had stepped out for one minute and got locked out. She then stated well were closed; CLEARLY! But I am a paying customer that had already ordered food that I am currently still waiting on. Smh. She then let's me back in only for me to walk in and find them servicing the table across from me with alcoholic beverages after I was told it was against TABC law and we will not be serviced. I was livid at this point because you can't do for one and not do for the other. Needless to say, the manager at this location is very rude; myself, family, and friends will no longer bring our business to this establishment. Great customer service needs to be learned! I will never recommend this...

I've been eating Chili at Chili's, since it opened in MARSHALL.

My Chili order yesterday was almost completely COVERED in grease, from the MEAT.... I dipped off the oily mess, and it almost filled the saucer to a depth a bit less than a quarter inch. I had to ask twice to speak to a manager, plus waited 20 minutes, in a room of folks at less than 10% capacity. The Manager admitted too much oil, not enough Tomato flavoring, wrong color, etc. She didn't adjust the BILL, or anything.

I DO NOT HAVE TO EAT THERE!

And prolly WON'T again! !

If they don't care? Why should I? ?

Anybody out out there think that much grease is appetizing? It's sloppy Cooks, and the management not checking on them, Or checking on the wait help! That bowl of chili, should have never LEFT the Kitchen, much less made to my table! Poor training, poor QUALITY CONTROLS!

It sucked! ! Oh yeah, the Pre- made wilted, soggy salad was not a good experience either!

I gave them one star, on what was typically a 3, or 4 star visit, in past visits to this restaurant.

After reviewing my post, and looking at posts by other past diners.......It is apparent, that this restaurant is going downhill! I probably had not eaten there in about 4 months, prior to last nites dinner. The dinner before last nites Chili Debacle, did not leave me with a positive memory, either. It just wasn't as bad as this one!

There's too many other restaurants in Marshall to worry about eating at Chilis! This Restaurant's Namesake , should have been #ONE! TOO BAD! I wish I had taken pix of the salad, brought to me!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE SHOULD EAT AT CHILI'S IN MARSHALL ! !
