China King Buffet Restaurant — Restaurant in Marshall

There wasn't much I liked about this establishment, no matter how much I wanted to. When walking in, you're greeted with a large buffet, overshadowed by decor pulled straight from a bad Grindhouse flick.

The food is mostly overcooked and what's not, is so soggy, it could be used as a sponge.

Most of the fried foods were so unbearably loaded with old grease and everything tasted like last months shrimp cocktail.

If you have a shellfish allergy, seriously stay away. If you decide to not heed this warning, be prepared with your epi-pens and have your will in order.

I thought I may have just been having a bad day and being rather unforgiving, however, later that night, having sampled a wide selection of their offerings; I was awoken from a dead sleep with what felt like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse battling for supremacy in my gut.

When the strength came to my legs, I ran, as best I could with ass cheeks clenched tight enough to transform a lump of coal into a diamond, to my bathroom and proceeded to wreak havoc on that poor, unsuspecting toilet with Old Testament rage.

In closing friends, if you choose to partake of the food there, bring a colostomy bag, gallons of pepto, and a box to store your dignity in, as you'll not be needing it...

This is the 2nd time we have been here, and both times they are out of steamed rice. BUT. . . . . This time they said they were out because they didn't want to make more. (I heard one guy say that it would "take an hour" to make some). Well needless to say, my ol lady wasn't happy about no steam rice. So? I didn't leave a tip at all ( which I don't think I've ever done), and explained to him why I didnt. I went to the car while wife went to bathroom, and from what she told me, they harassed her out loud and in public, for me not leaving a tip. When she told me this, I was almost ready to go talk to a manager, but she talked me out of i1t. Would it have been THAT hard to go make some 50 cent rice to please a customer? And then to get mad and be disrespectful to my wife in front of everyone? You should have caused a scene with me when I explained it to you why you didn't...

Make sure to always get your receipt. I was there July 12, around lunch time. The gentleman charged me a $1.00 extra for both togo orders. When I realize it was more, I asked for a receipt. He gave me a receipt with a drink on it. When I told him that it was the wrong receipt and that he charged me too much he told me that he charges extra for to go orders then I pointed out to him that his sign states $8.95 for to go orders or dine in orders, he go upset and gave me my money back. There was a sign that u would have to pay $1.00 extra if u could not close your lid. Both of my lids were close. I could have saved myself $8.95 and packed my box. They do not give u a container for soup, unless you ask. They also did not require ppl to wear gloves, not following...
