2½ Cups Cupcakery & Bakeshop — Restaurant in Marshfield

This place is AMAZING. I'd stopped by a few times for cuppies while out and about in downtown and kind of knew what to expect from the menu (amazingness). My daughter's sixth birthday approached and AS MUCH AS I LOVE TO BAKE, I know when I'm beaten. Offspring requested Strawberry cupcakes with Rainbow frosting. Freaking RAINBOWS. 2 1/2 Cups totally had me covered. Whoever took my order asked if i wanted sprinkles on top (Psh. Duh.). Ordered 2 dozen of biggun gourmet cuppies just like the kiddo wanted and sat back to wait. Big day arrives and they are stunning. Not only are they pink strawberry cakes with rainbows frosting, but there's sprinkles and sparkles all over them. NEAT rainbows too, none of that blurry blended stuff or (gasp) airbrushed junk. Legit rainbows in the most awesome creamy frosting. I impressed the parents at the party. The kids ate themselves into a sugar coma. I live in Wausau. Yes, we have a cupcakery here. I've never been there. I drive my butt an HOUR to Marshfield to get cuppies from 2 1/2 Cups.

100% worth it.

They have amazing tasting cupcakes but I wouldn't recommend them for a wedding or big event.

I was part of a wedding where a cupcake order was placed over a year in advance with multiple check ins leading up to it. We show up to the store which is over an hour away to pickup order the DAY before the wedding and they can't find the order. They somehow "lost" the order.

Now they did scramble and make the cupcakes and drop them off at the event the day of. So I will say they made that part right.

I get mistakes can happen but when you're doing weddings/large events forgetting about an order is simply not an option. The added stress on the bride the day before her big day is why I simply can't recommend unless they do some serious overhaul with the ordering system. I was recently hospitalized in Marshfied hospital. I was on the 7th floor and nurses and staff could not of been more kind and took great care of me. While still in the hospital I wanted to thank them. I googled bakeries near me and up came 2 and a half cups. I called and asked if they delivered. I ordered a dozen muffins and a dozen cupcakes. The lady I spoke with took my credit card over the phone and also sent me a picture of the boxed treats that would shortly arrive. They made this gesture seamless and easy. The muffins and cupcakes were a nice variety and beautifully decorated. I was told they tasted as nice as they looked. I even received a text when they were delivered.
