Scotty’s Pizza & Chicken — Restaurant in Marshfield

This better really be the best pizza ever as everyone brags about it.... I'm new to town and figured after working and not wanting to cook, I would try it out. This better be the best 9 inch pizza and cheese curds for $28!?!?!? Like what?!?! The prices on your online menu are super misleading and I honestly feel like corporate food chains give you twice the amount for $28!!!! Even if it's good, for such a small pizza and and a few cheese curds..... I'm feeling almost cheated. I'm going to try it but since it's so expensive for a 9 inch pizza and cheese curds..... I feel you gotta be rich. Hope them employees are paid $20 an hour for this robbery.

Edit. Wow Scotty..... 10 thumbs down! I have been in the food service industry for close to 25 years. I have standards. Your pizza is ok but a 9 inch pizza is way over priced and $2 per topping???? It was a basic pepperoni pizza add bacon and you charged me nearly $20???? You need to fix your menu prices and be honest! Or teach your employees not to ring it in to be the most expensive they can make it. Most of my toppings were in 3 pieces of the pizza.... Like where is the pride in your business???? The pizza is decent but not worth this $28 and yep, hand full of cheese curds. Train your employees..... If it's not actually the best of the best, at least take pride in the presentation. I would have rather had my $28 back but you only offer store credit like you just assume I just want another slopped together Pizza???? So disappointed..... The driver was nice and I tipped him fairly but for $28 slop..... You should tip him for having to deliver it. I will not be returning or ordering for these prices or slopped over pizza.... I hope you retrain your...

Although they had a nice special, yesterday, there is very little I would share that was also positive. The place was clean, so were the dishes.

Unfortunately, the pizza I did have was sub-par. Maybe it is because of pizzas I have had in various other states, but when I ordered my favorite toppings on their small size pie, it was akin to lunchroom-style fiestadas. Lacking in almost any flavor and mostly disappointing. I did also order a single item pizza (which was the special), it was better, but only if better moves things from horrible to not good. I also had the breadsticks. I was surprised that they served it with cold pizza sauce. Many places I have been serve it with warm sauce, but they are not the first place I have been that has done this... didn't like that style.

As far as service goes, it was akin to fast food, rather than restaurant style. I placed my order at the counter; had the location of the cups and drink dispenser pointed out to me for self-service; only to ever be checked on once from 25 feet away. Refilled my own drinks, then was presented with a receipt to sign for tip. Not exactly sure what I was tipping for, I gave my extremely rare 10% tip. As a former waiter/cook in a variety of restaurants, including greasy spoons and major chains, I avoid anything below 20%; 15% if it was bad, yet tolerable.

Will not be back, nor would I recommend. However... the dishes and dining room...

All I wanted to do tonight was surprise my father with some fried chicken & wedges for Father’s Day. After being let down by his chicken joint of choice, we came here. I was literally fuming because I had spent $30 in gas just to get to the place that let us down. I thought for sure that the night was going to be a waste & we’d all go home unhappy. I started scrolling through all of the places nearby that were open & served fried chicken. Scotty’s came up & I remembered hearing such wonderful things about them but we had not gotten the opportunity to try it yet.

We arrived & our first impression was “we love the ‘old time’ atmosphere.” The workers seemed like family to each other & WE felt like family. They were SO friendly & courteous. I’ve never been in any other place quite like this.

My father had one bite out of his food & his whole face lit up! He was so happy. He said the food was much better than the original place he wanted to go. For the first time in my life, I saw him go OUT OF HIS WAY to make sure the workers knew how pleased he was. It was music to my ears. I made sure to tell the workers how pleased my daughter/I were as well & left a tip reflective of the amazing service. GO TEAM! 💞

We will DEFINITELY return! I’d travel 10x the distance for a place like...
