The Daily Grind Gourmet Coffee & Tea — Restaurant in Marshfield

I have rarely, and I mean RARELY, been this disappointed with food. Immediately, the place smelled like I was inside a bag of cool ranch doritos. The menu was sloppy but whatever. I ordered a gyro, smoothie, and eggs with hash hashbrowns. The place wasn't very busy, it was just people with drinks either talking or on a laptop and it still took almost 45 minutes to get our food. I could ALMOST understand if they're understaffed, but my gyro was beyond horrible. I didn't even get the Naan bread that gyros come in. Focusing on the gyro, I waited 45 minutes and paid $10 for an omelet with spinach, GARNISHED with lamb. I'd guess there was barely even a gram of lamb meat, and even then it was clearly not real lamb. I also had 3 full cherry tomatoes chopped up into the "gyro" and the feta cheese they put in it was sour beyond belief. Oh yeah, and the smoothies are cheap concentrate so they're not even remotely good for you. That was lame. I wish I took photos but I tried to be optimistic throughout the meal, but it left me so...

I’m going to preface this by saying the food and drinks were good, but they ended up coming out an hour after we placed the order. We ordered two lattes and one chai, and after the order was placed the two young baristas continued to go on their phone and ignore the order. We only got our drinks once we asked for them, they said they forgot. During this hour of waiting the two baristas would continuously talk secretly, looking back at my group giggling. Eventually one of the baristas started talking about us to someone that came up to the counter, and while he was up there the barista took pictures/videos of us. I have had a similar experience in the past here with one of the same baristas that was working at the time, and my group and I have never felt so uncomfortable in a public setting by the people...

Coffee is good, service is ok, but they are more expensive than Starbucks; I definitely won't be frequenting often or possibly ever again. I wish there was a closer Starbucks, oh well. I don't think this place will be in business long, not enough ppl going there, I never see anyone there. It's too bad, I think it would do better if they lowered their prices, but I understand they need to keep high to make some money.

Update: wish I kept receipt, I was definitely charged higher rates...
