Went in on a Monday night for the buffet. We all tried something different and each item tasted as if it had sat under a heat lamp for the entire afternoon. The broccoli in the beef and broccoli was so old that it had turned brown and was soft. The white rice was crunchy and the fried rice was slimy. After trying a few bites of our first plates, one of my friends noted that her chicken nugget tasted like chemicals. We went back to try something else since buffets can be hit or miss, and the second plate I opted for was a salad. I wanted to take the egg flower soup, but the smell alone repulsed me to the point of nausea. After sitting down at the table and trying a bite of the salad and realizing that the dressing tasted like sour mayonnaise, I noticed that my cauliflower had mold on it. At that point we all stopped eating and informed the server of our woes, who then went and got the manager who upon looking at our table went into the kitchen for three to four minutes. We explained the situation and showed him the cauliflower, he told us that the chicken nuggets come in frozen and shrugged. He then walked away while we were talking to him. The waitress came back with the check with a $6 discount to the entire meal. We told her this was unacceptable and she went back to get the manager once again. When he went back in the kitchen we could hear him yelling at her as if it her fault. I told him that I had eaten moldy cauliflower he told me that it was dropped and it was a bruise, even though it was clear that someone had tried to cut the discolored part off and it was brown all the way through. I told him we would not pay for the meal, however we would still pay for our drinks, he then tried to barter with us over the price of the meal as if he didn't even care that the food was inedible.
The service was great, and I truly feel bad for the servers since the manager seems to think that the terrible, turned, old, disgusting food is their fault.
He told us to never come back, and he has nothing to...
Read moreI'm a truck driver and I've ordered food for delivery at this place many times, the portions were not generous at all, I've ordered recently and this last time was by far the stingiest portions I've seen so far from this place, possibly out of all other Chinese restaurants. The dishes were filled on the level of where the folding point of the carton is, some of the dishes were less than that level, and the amount white rice in the cartons were ridiculously low, it's not even on the folding level of the carton, but an inch less, how can this be? Rice is cheap and this place won't even give their customers a fair amount of portions, I mean they could at least fill it up to the folding point of the carton. In the past each order I placed is at least $60, and this time I ordered $70 worth of food and tipped $5, and I've tipped generously in the past, the food were great, especially the ducks, but the lo mein is too greasy and had too much sauce, the potstickers were over burnt but overall the food is okay, the downside is their stinginess with the portion. Most Chinese restaurants would give you a freebie if you order more than $30, like a free 2 liter soda or free crab ragoons, more than $50 some places even give you free dumplings, but this place is very stingy, ordered $70 and no freebies. I feel like they don't want to give a truck driver a fair amount of food. I'll probably never going to order from this...
Read moreUnder new ownership and it's terrible! Ordered lunch today and was delivered. My moo goo gai pan smelled and tasted like the entire bottom of the pan my food was cooked in was burned, and they served me the non-charred portion of the food. A coworker called and told them, and they agreed to deliver another lunch. When the woman arrived, she demanded I dig the first lunch out of the trash so she could see it. She opened the container and said "It looks fine to me." She was very rude and basically accused me of lying. She gave me the new lunch and left. When I opened the container, the burned smell was overwhelming, worse than the first. It literally stunk up the office and my coworkers all agreed it was inedible. I'm not picky at all and I am understanding of mistakes, but this was awful. My coworker called back and they argued with her that it was fine. The chef even got on the phone and said he's been cooking this for 20 years and he knows what he's doing. They finally agreed to credit us for the lunch, but not without a 15 minute argument. This place used to be a favorite, but they will be losing our business after...
