Oriental Inn — Restaurant in Marshfield

In my opinion, this is one of the worst "Chinese food" restaurants I've ever been to. The food was sitting out too long and the chicken was hard and dried up. The cashew sauce is so salty, it made my mouth numb and found it to have an old taste. The sweet and sour sauce was SO sweet I it was gross. On top of that, I mentioned that they work on presentation and ended up getting cussed at by the owner or maybe she was the manager on Facebook.

Their chairs are really uncomfortable, they are WAY over priced for a town the size of Mountain Grove and they don't accept credit or debit cards. I didn't know this and after I ordered, found out. But was I going to go somewhere to get cash and then come back? Hell no! Pathetic excuse for a diner anywhere I've ever been. And I've lived in almost 15...

Their cashew chicken is the best. Not in town. Not in the county or state. The best, in the world, period. I live states away now and I wish I had known what I had when I had it. People outside of Southwest MO don’t understand cashew chicken. And they sure as hell can’t make it. I’ve been served unbreaded chicken with dark brown sauce and vegetables other places. The only vegetables that belong on cashew chicken is scallions. Anyways. Everything else is great too. Yes you might have to wait for your order (they do not start making it until you’re in the store, it doesn’t matter if you’ve called ahead, deal). But it’s well worth the wait. We ordered our food ahead of time drove to marshfield to pick it up the inside was jam packed full of people so my husband called and asked if it was ready and the woman that answered the phone was rude as hell told him he wasn't getting it until it was paid for he simply explained that he just was calling to see if it was ready due to the inside being super packed full of people!!
