Awnie's Italian Cuisine offers a delightful dining experience that transports you straight to the heart of Italy. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and friendly service set the stage for a memorable meal.
A must-try is the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The fettuccine is cooked to perfection, offering a delightful al dente texture that pairs beautifully with the creamy Alfredo sauce. The chicken is tender and flavorful, adding a satisfying protein element to the dish.
The Caesar salad is a classic done right. The romaine lettuce is crisp and fresh, tossed in a light and flavorful Caesar dressing with just the right amount of garlic parmesan.
Awnie's takes breadsticks to a whole new level with their magnificent pepperoni-stuffed options. These warm and fluffy breadsticks are bursting with savory pepperoni and served with a side of rich cheese for dipping.
For a lighter starter, their soup is a great option. The menu offers a variety of choices, each boasting an elegant presentation and rich flavors.
The star of the show might just be the stuffed shells. These delightful pillows of pasta are filled with a ricotta cheese mixture that is both creamy and flavorful, transporting you straight to the charming trattorias of Italy.
No Italian meal is complete without dessert, and Awnie's cannoli are the perfect way to end your dining experience. The shells are crisp and flaky, filled with a sweet ricotta mixture, and drizzled with a decadent combination of chocolate and caramel sauce.

Read moreWell, the rating says a lot, but I will break it down. GREAT service from the host to the waiter. Perfectly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was fantastic and honestly better than expected for Martinsville. Food, well, darn it. I wanted to like it! Let's start with the good! The meatball appetizers were good, not great, but good. The salad was sparce but good. Soup was actually spectacular (some kind of potatoe and sausage soup, not sure of name). Chicken parm was ok. It was not fantastic, but in a crunch, it was ok. Lobster raviolis was chewy and cold. The stuffed shells were an embarrassment and cold. But the worst part is the timing of food being brought out. Appetizers(meatballs) were timely and came out in a satisfactory amount of time. Salads/soup over 20 minutes later. Meals were an hour AFTER the salads. Now, if they were busy, it's excusable to an extent, but 1 other table on a Saturday night, and prior to our arrival, only 3 other tables. This is an...
Read moreI joined some friends for lunch and I didn't know what to expect. Lunch options are limited to sandwiches, but I wanted something more Italian so I opted for the Lasagna. Just a suggestion, lunch sized portions/pricing would be appreciated.
The soup was very good. The lasagna was also good. Unfortunately, I had to take an urgent call just as the food arrived so by the time I got to eat, the food was already starting to cool, so I didn't count that against them. The portion -- to my previous point -- was substantial for lunch.
Generally the service was fine, but overall was slow. Our food took over 40 minutes to arrive and by the time I finished my untimely phone call I had just a few minutes to eat before I had to get back to work. So unless you just normally get 2 hour lunches, or something changes, I can't recommend.
If however you're looking for somewhere special to take that important someone in your life for a nice quiet relaxing dinner, with no rush, I highly...
