HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS HERE ON THIS REVIEW I SURE WOULD!!!!! DISREPECTFUL STAFF!! We came to this location in Gambrills over the weekend and we decided as a group to try this location out again after having a horrible experience the last time around and the sad part is nothing has changed one bit here at this Gambrills Applebee's!!! My friend who came in before our big group had asked the host for a table and he sat him in a booth which he didn't want. Reason he asked for the table is because 2 of our friends have a hard time getting in and out of booths due to medical reasons. So we asked another person to move us and he did,but was not friendly about it at all.(another manager) Our waitress had a attitude problem from the beginning and she even called us out for talking to the manager about her SAYING SHE WASN'T RUDE!!!!(Manager/bartender Brandon) she was not friendly at all. She was super slow with bringing are drinks. She brought are appetizers out right before our food came out. The appetizers were over cooked. We also order 2 bourbon street chicken and shrimp meals which we asked the waitress to make them both plain please and thank you. Two of my friends didn't want anything spicy or the extras that came with it . They said plain!! They came out to the table with everything on them and we told her again we asked for 2 plain chicken and shrimp meals and she was confused on what that meant. So Brandon the manager/bartender approached are big group at the table and was rude, snipy snappy, unprofessional, confrontational, argumentative, super nasty and was very disrepectful to the whole table. He had no manners whatsoever!!! He keep asking us in the rudest way possible WHAT DOES PLAIN MEAN???? OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! My friend sitting across the table from me was trying to explain that to him and he cut her off and he was trying to ask my other friends WHAT PLAIN MEANS???? Was that necessary to be rude to us?????? I DON'T THINK SO!! Brandon, keep being nasty with us. We are paying customers here and we deserve respect just like the rest of the world does. It's not okay to be rude to anyone. You're job is to be friendly, provided excellent customer service, make sure your customers/guests food and drinks taste good and are correct. We sure do miss the Annapolis Applebee's because they knew what great customer service was. My one friend ordered a margarita and Brandon brought it over and she asked why it was in a martini glass and not a margarita glass? She also asked for ice. He said it was on the table and you can pour it yourself in the rudest way possible. Also while we were trying to enjoy ourselves he keep Staring at us,listening to our conversation and complaining to other guests at the bar about our table. So before we left the restaurant another manager comes over....This time it was a different experience. Her name was Nora she was friendly. She just happens to be the GM there. While we were discussing how upset and irritated we were about the whole experience and how we were treated during our time there Brandon is standing on the other side of our table listening to our whole conversation with Nora. That was not professional at all!!! So rude!! Also my one friend who has special needs loves the orioles and wanted his picture taken in front of their baseball Collage wall. The whole time we were over there taking a picture Brandon the manager and our waitress keep Staring at us which was not necessary and completely rude. I myself have depression and anxiety and that really didn't help matters with this whole experience!! The sad part here is one of my friends is diabetic and she had to pay for another meal at another place because her food was never made right and we all we're done with that place and wanted to get out of there as quick as possible. There's other reviews on here about that manager/bartender Brandon and he's still working there. Something is wrong here! You shouldn't have a job if you are disrespecting and being awful to...
Read moreThis may end up being long winded, so in short, the food was decent except for the too salty prime rib sandwich and over priced ceasar salad. The hardship here was the service. Our server was nice, but not attentive and never provided any follow up regarding the amount of time it took for our food to come out. A simple, I'm sorry for the wait, but we'll have your food out as soon as possible, would have went a long way. The manager seemed like he would really rather have been anywhere else. Went here tonight for the first time in over 15 years because of a poor experience at a different location. Waited about 10 minutes for a booth for our party of 4. The place was not really busy but I understand the wait due to staffing issues. We were seated in a booth across from the bar which was not ideal because of the loud people around the bar, but we didn't complain. The hostess forgot to give us menus when she sat us. The waitress let us know she would be right with us and after about 5-7 minutes she came and asked if we were ready to order. I told her we didn't have menus, she had assumed since we had been waiting we had already looked at the menu. After she took our drink orders and gave us menus, it was more than 10 minutes before she came back for our orders. We ordered an appetizer and our meals and thought we were going to end up getting everything at once because it was at least 30 minutes before we got the appetizer and my ceasar salad (not worth 5.99), our meals came out about 10 minutes later. After taking our order, our waitress came around 1 last time to refill my son's lemonade. The classic appetizer was good. My son said his cheeseburger was OK. My other son loved his bone in garlic parmesan wings. Some guy in an orange sweater who I assume was the manager brought us the check before we had completed eating. Normally, at other restaurants, the server will check if we want dessert, or need anything else. This guy was not very personable and it felt like we were an inconvenience, especially when I had to call him over because of an error on our bill. I don't see us returning to this place...
