Hark, what madness is this?! A roast beef sandwich, medium rare, with lettuce, tomato, all upon a hot dog bun?! By the beard of Jove, I have beheld it! Three sandwiches we did procure, and homeward bound did journey, only to discover mine own repast upon a soggy, sodden… hot dog bun! I made inquiry of the manager, Maria by name (a shrew, and rude of tongue, as oft before she hath been), who claimed a dearth of proper buns. Yet, lo! The other two sandwiches were so graced! "We did but newly run out," quoth she. "Then why," I pressed, "was I not informed?" A lie, a palpable lie, she did then utter, claiming such tidings had been given. A pox on such deceit! Did they, perchance, dispatch a knave to market, who, finding no sandwich bread, did bring forth… hot dog buns?! Arby's, I say, serves not hot dogs! Back we trudged, for recompense, but met only with more of Maria’s sour disposition, no apology given. And to add a final sting, she did refuse to grant refund for a medium draught, left behind in haste, though 'twas our journey back that caused its loss! Never again shall I darken the door of this most vile establishment! 'Tis a disgrace, a rank disgrace! Not the Arby's of my youth! And mark this well: 'twas not the bun for French Dip (which I desired, but was denied, for lack of…buns!). A plague on...
Read moreWhat a surprise, Arby's now serving very very expensive premium Roast Beef!!
I visited this place last Sunday evening. I ordered half-pounder meal for dine-in, and also ordered one classic and one double sandwiches to go.
On Monday afternoon, I took the sandwiches out from fridge and I noticed there was no size difference in two roast beef sandwiches. I thought that I might have ordered two classics by mistake. But the receipt showed one classic and one double.
So, I weighed both sandwiches on my trusty digital kitchen scale. Result: One weighed 151grams, another one weighed 154 grams. There was only 3 grams difference.
Classic RB costs $4.69 Double RB costs $6.39 Difference is $1.70 plus tax($1.80).
In other words, I paid $1.80 for just 3 grams of extra RB. 3 grams are equal to 0.102oz. That is equivalent to $17.65/oz or $282.35/lb Roast Beef.
Thanks to Arby's in Cockeysville MD, I very much enjoyed extra 3 grams of $282.35/lb Roast Beef for my lunch on Monday.
I love Arby's Roast Beef sandwiches, so I will come back for more, but I prefer no more expensive RB...
Read moregreat food but long waiting time... staff is hard to understand because of broken English... but that is expected at fast food places such as this ... expensive food but well worth it if you want something better in your stomach than McDonald's or taco Bell at a more expensive price... during off hours wait time is a lot less but if you see six or seven cars ahead of you at the drive-thru you might as well just turn around and keep driving... also you have to remind them multiple times if you want onions on your sandwich and mozzarella sauce for your mozzarella sticks or else you won't get any including napkins I think this is due to a lack of communication between the...
