Bahama Mike's — Restaurant in Maryland

First time ever trying Bahama Mikes. Always saw it across the street from Bjs wholesale. If i could possibly give this place 10 stars honestly I would so i am going to say the rating for stars given id give 10 out of 5 stars. Ordered the Crab Stack sandwhich with letttuce and tomato with sides of coleslaw and steak fries. First time having softshell crab on top of a crabcake id day wowza its highly outstanding. The coleslaw and steak fries is a nice side order since this sandwhich is a large portioned sandwhich. Also for the family ordered the Stuffed Flounder with crab stuffed along with sides of coleslaw and mac salad and was highly recommended also. Orderd also the Catfish platter and the Jumbo 1/2 pound crabcake platter with coleslaw and island fries. The Catfish was cooked highly great and the island fries add a nice touch to the platter. Ordered a side of potato salad which was like a 5/10 little bland on for tasting but could use possible onion or dill possible. Other then the potato salad in all id still say Bahama Mikes has an outstanding seafood also if in ratings there crab cake is just as outstanding compared to GMs off hollinsferry rd in Baltimore county Maryland and also better then Romanos restaurant in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Start off with a very nice welcome as soon as I hit the door. This goes a long way now a days with me. Young people employed but obviously trained VERY well. Good covid protocol with easy to see hand sanitizer and spacing at the counter. Felt checked on through the entire visit including the establishments proprietor. Nice lady. Described all their specials in perfect but not over stated detail. Tried all my staples today. Wings, crabcake, steamed shrimp. Prices are higher now because of the cost of everything going up. Not the fault of Bahama Mike's. My Wings were plump juicy and hot. In house rolls for my crab cake were perfect! Lack of filler was a bonus too. Shrimp peeled easy peasy. Drink of choice today was passion fruit Truely. Wanted to switch it up. See pic for drink selections. At the end, staff member told us we can keep our Koosies! Good start to our day drinking! Got the Crab Stacker today for lunch, it was the religious experience that I hoped for. If you want to eat a sandwich with a fried soft-shell crab on top of a crab cake, then look no further, this place absolutely has you covered. I had it with the onion rings and potato salad, both of which far exceeded my expectations. The onion rings were perfectly battered and crisp on the outside, while being soft, delicate, and sweet on the inside. The potato salad was far more interesting in flavor than I was expecting, a very welcomed surprise for sure. Service was great: Food was ready pretty quickly, and the counter attendant asked if I wanted tartar and cocktail sauces, and provided ketchup (for the onion rings, not the seafood--what do you think I am, some sort of godless heathen?) upon request. Furthermore, I'm like 99% sure the guy behind me in line was actually Santa Claus. Long white beard, red Hawaiian shirt... Gotta be him in the off-season. Overall an excellent experience and I will...
