I've been ordering from these guys for years. Same owner has been there as long as I can remember (Molson). They know me by name at this point and are always friendly and professional (even when I encounter new drivers). I think they have only messed up an order of mine one or two times. In those cases they gave me a credit to get a free future meal. Delivery is always fast (I live and work within a 3 mile radius of the shop). I've tried a lot of things off of their menu over the years and can't think of a single thing that has left me disappointed. The king kong pizza is awesome for parties. Cheese steak pizza is ALWAYS delish and their regular cheese steaks are always on point as well. I've only tried a few different kinds of wings but they have all been great (Old Bay is the way to go though sometimes i feel like they might overload the seasoning). The only negative I can think of is that hardly anything on their menu agrees with my stomach but apparently this is unique to me as my girlfriend/family/friends have never experienced the same issue in the years that we have been eating there. They might use an oil that I am allergic to or something....that certainly doesn't stop me coming back multiple times a week though....
For those complaining about long delivery times, you have to take into consideration how far you are from their location as well as when you are ordering. If it is during a football game or something like that you shouldn't expect to be their only customer or have a speedy delivery....This is a no brainer. I've had delivery take close to an hour when ordering during peak times and I am only a quarter mile from their location. However I'm not so entitled to think that I am their only customer and that they need to drop what they are doing to deliver to me first...obviously there are people in line ahead of you, be patient or if you want food quickly during peak hours, you shouldn't order delivery...
For those commenting on the owner and accidental charges...I can't speak much about how the employees are treated except from info I received from a friend who used to work there. He said the owner is pretty tough and pushed his employees fairly hard....I don't get how that is a bad thing. I would hope that the employees took pride in and cared about their jobs. If you're lazy or don't want to work, find a new job (that is what my friend did). The people complaining about professionalism/etc, I find that extremely hard to believe that you were mistreated or lied to unless you were being a jerk. That guy has been nothing but awesome to me for the better part of 10 years. Any time they have made a mistake they have corrected it. Standard policy for ordering on the phone with a credit card does not involve charging you twice....Don't know where that one review got that from but you can believe me when I say that I've ordered from these guys literally hundreds of times and they have never screwed me over or lied to me. Be nice to the people serving your food and maybe you'll get the service you THINK you are entitled to.
A few more awesome things to note: -They are open past 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday -The, "cheese bread" on their sides menu isn't what you'd expect by the title...It is pretty much an entire pizza without sauce....for 6 bucks.... -Sometimes you might get an extra wing or two when you order a large amount (over 10). -When you order online and pay with a card, once they arrive to deliver your food, there isn't anything to sign. They just hand it to you and are quickly on their way. -You can request the driver give you a courtesy call when they arrive for delivery(I can't hear the front door from my room) -Their pickup specials are really reasonably priced -Bacon is super crisp (think 5 guys), hardly any fat on it...the way bacon is supposed to be. -They make their own...
Read moreBEWARE! No matter how bad the food looks, ir is prepared, or taste. NO REFUNDS or a REPLACEMENT IS OFFERED!!! On August 13th. I purchased a pizza from there to take home to my husband. When I left and drove it all the way home to my husband he took one bite and had to spit it out! The pizza was undercooked, hardley any sauce or cheese covered it and the toppings on it were cold. We took the whole pizza back and asked for a refund. I was told by the cook that their was NOTHING WRONG WITH PIZZA and HE refused to refund our money. I then requested to speak to the manager. The cooked pulled out his cell phone and "supposedly" was calling the manager to get premission to refund our money. The cook then told me the manager wasn't answering and their was nothing he could do about it again! The cook nor any of the workers offer any other option or offer to make a new pizza for us. The cook just kept giving my husband and myself looks as if he if didn't understand how we could not want the pizza HE made. We asked again to get a refund that we wasn't going to wait for his managed to call back and once again the cook told us there nothing he could about it. At that point we realized NOTHING was going happen and the cook and workers were just going stand there abd stare at us. (It was the most uncomfortable and odd situation I ever been in. I just couldn't understand any it. How a business feel it's ok to treat their customers this way was unbelievable.)My husband and I finally gave up and decided to leave the pizza there and told the cook that the pizza was on us for HIM to enjoy! SMH I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN. So glad we found a much better place to go to. I highly recommend Maria D's by the Food Lion. The workers are very professional. Read moreMy friend and I put in two different orders given that we had different payment methods. One online and one on the phone. We told the person that when I ordered so that they wouldn’t have to come out here twice - they said no problem. And told us we’d have our food in 25-40min.
An hour later the food arrives and it’s just my order. We ask the delivery driver about the other order and they said they weren’t sure and then left. We then get a call from the store, asking what was wrong. We told them and they finally said that they never rang the order in.. so we then had to wait again. Funnily enough, when we called the first time, they read off the order to us! We asked about getting some of our money back given the wait and they seemed astonished that’d we even ask. And offered a soda.
I then eat my sub and start chewing on plastic wrap! I called to let them know because too many things went wrong at this point and they seemed so uninterested, uncaring and not willing to listen - and yes, this was the manager. They kept on saying how busy they had been and that’s the reason why. He offered a order credit and I told him this was my first time ordering here and I wasn’t really wanting to try it again. He then agreed to giving me the $8 for the sub.
Busy or not, if you make a mistake, please fix it in some respect instead of acting like I’m doing you...
