My husband and I have been patrons of this location since it opened over 10 years ago. But the past few years (even prepandemic) it is just slipping further and further down hill. Seems like we can’t ever order carry out without something getting messed up or forgotten. Tonight we dined in for our anniversary. We were greeted by the hostess waving at us, didn’t speak two words. We sat for about 10 mins before we were greeted by our waiter. The place was empty, not busy at all. I ordered “the Johnny trio” includes a steak, grilled chicken and pasta. The waiter brings our food. I have 3 pieces of chicken on my plate. I informed him this is not what I ordered. He disagreed and told me yes it was. I reminded him I ordered the Johnny trio not the chicken trio. He walked away without a word, disappeared for about 5 mins and then was seen debating it with his manager. After 10 mins he came over and simply asked how I liked my steak and advised me they’d be comping our appetizer. 25 mins goes by before I get my new plate. I asked for my steak to be medium, it was hockey puck well done. It is supposed to come with a Marsala sauce, bone dry. The pasta on the plate is visibly stiff and when I touched it was cold. Not warm but cold. I got the managers attention when she walked by, explained the situation and when I said the pasta was cold she looked at me the way a parent looks at a lying child. She Takes the plate and says I’ll look into it. Our waiter then brings me the first wrong meal in a to go bag and our check. I watched the manager argue with the chef who cooked the meal incorrectly. Not a single time did I get an apology for either mishap. I get mistakes happen, I really am an understanding person. But I also feel like a little empathy for a paying customer goes a long way. I at no time got rude or loud with anyone. But I do feel an apology was warranted when I left without ever eating dinner. I don’t think we’ll be returning here...
Read moreAngel is no Angel. I've been coming to Carrabbas for about 10 years or so and the main draw for me is their Red Sangria on the HH Menu. It's made by hand so the alcohol content is always a little bit stronger or weaker, depends on who makes it. This time around, I received a Red Sangria that was really much like drinking a Cherry Koolaid, with very little alcohol content. My personality is such, that I usually will not complain because I don't want to disrupt the peace of the occasion. (Having worked all day, who wants to come to the bar to argue with the bartender). Angel asked me if everything was Okay, and I said in a soft voice that there was very little alcohol in the drink. She was very defensive about it and insisted about which ingredients are in the content. I would've left it there however, next time she comes around and asks if I need anything and I replied no. No smile from me, but that's it. She replies "Okaaaay", at which time I had enough and I blurted out that If I wanted a cherry Kool Aid I would just go to the Giant and get one. We had an unpleasant discourse, without profanity, but unpleasant still. I was set on paying my bill and just not coming back, at least when she is working. I get the bill, and none of the items on it have the HH price. Not the Sangria, the appetizer (Tomato Caprese) or the House Wine that I had to order because the Red Sangria was lacking. Coincidence ? Who knows. Fortunately, her co worker, a black gentleman, was very kind and apologized when I showed to him the receipt and fixed the charges. I still tipped well over 20 percent because I have empathy for those trying to earn a living and I can afford to do it that way. Maybe this was a one off, but you definitely made me NOT to ever want to be served by you, especially after a stressful work day. I may return after...
Read moreWe went here tonight for 4 birthdays and an anniversary. Our server Alexis (pretty certain that was her name haha) did a fantastic job considering the amount of people in our party she had to tend to. On top of that, she appears to have had a few other tables as well so I have to commend her on her work. Thank you Alexis, superb job, we really appreciated it.
The food was phenomenal! I got a House Salad and it had to have been the best House Salad I've ever had. Hands down. The dressing that is used on the House Salad is fantastic. It was so good, I actually bought a container of it! The Wood Fired Cheese Pizza that I got was excellent and the Margherita Pizza that my wife got was excellent as well. Top notch.
We went home with a Meatball with Ricotta and a Penne Pomodora due to being stuffed from the above foods. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs. I had a little taste of each and they both seem like they have potential. To be honest, we were picturing something completely different with the Meatball and Ricotta but it's all good. By the looks, smell and tiny taste of it, I'm sure it will be delicious.
Im quite excited to go back. I used the Carrabba's app to pay for our meal. The Dine Rewards Account that is created also counts for Bonefish and Outback visits so I'll get 50% off my order after one more visit to any other these businesses. Win win situation in my book! Thank you again for everything, we really...
