Caspian Kabob (Germantown, MD) — Restaurant in Maryland

I REALLY LOVE THIS PLACE. Like its not even funny. I love the way they season the meat, and the customer service is INCREDIBLE! There has always been 2 or 3 people behind the counter with big smiles on their faces :) The first time I went there...about a month ago, there was this very sweet girl that greeted me with a huge smile, and asked if I was a first timer, when I said yes, she helped me through the menu, asking me what I was in the mood for, and what was very popular. She promised me that I would definitely enjoy the food, and by golly she was right. Now I go every friday dinner there, with my family. (and f.y.i., for the people that haven't dropped by yet,the chicken in any form is the best!) They don't just limit your options to the menu! No, they let you mix and match different meats, with rice, with salad,with bread...HALF RICE HALF SALAD? Oh and I have recently learned that the Caspian in Kentlands is COMPLETELY different in owner ship from the one in germantown. So, if you like the food here, don't think that its like that there too. :P I definitely give it a 3/3 but if I could, I would vote 5 stars for Caspian Kabob...

Very rude service... We had a very bad experience at this place. The person at counter wouldn't smile. We went in exactly at 9.30pm and we were not expecting any great customer service (it closes at 10.00pm), but at the same time, we did not expect a completely rude service too. when we asked for Hummus for the kid, even though the cook inside was ready and bought it outside, this person again told him to take it away and said the kitchen is closed. I was ready to pay for it. After some serious looks, he let us have the hummus. And at the end, when i complained, I was shocked with his reply. He said " If you want good customer service come before 9.30" Wow!!..if that is the case why do they keep the restaurant open till 10.00? shut it down early and go home.. Dont give those rude facial looks towards the customers!!. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE...

Love Caspian! My family has been getting carry out from them for years and always have a great meal. They consistently have excellent food and good service. I have never had a wrong order or substandard food which happens more than not especially nowadays at most other places. Their hummus is hands down the best around. Compares to my Palestinian family’s homemade hummus. The texture and flavor are spot on if you’ve ever had truly great Arab style hummus. Not grainy or wrong tahini/chickpea/olive oil ratio that seems to plauge Israeli or Greek versions. They are also very accommodating being able to order single kebabs on the side when you have a big family who wants everything!! Highly recommend the wonderful authentic Persian cuisine! Best local gem around! Oh and I almost forgot to mention how fresh and lovely the homemade...
