Cindy's Soft Serve — Restaurant in Maryland

STAFF DOES NOT WEAR A MASK. Neither did anyone in the steady stream of walk up customers, except for responsible little ‘ol me. I’m fully vaccinated, but I don’t want to take any chance of spreading breakthrough Covid to my very young grandchildren or anyone else in my community. Because of the pandemic, I hadn’t treated myself to Cindy’s Soft Serve for over a year. The worker on duty Friday, 8/27/2021, was unmasked and ungloved. She was hovering closely over the treats and was nearly nose to nose and hand to hand with customers as she collected payment and handed over the goodies. I could have and should have walked away. Come on everyone. We’re all in this together. Get fully vaccinated and wear a mask. I checked with HoCo Health Department, and food handlers aren’t presently required to wear masks, but it would be a kindness to our community and a caring caution for fellow citizens to do so. When we’re through this pandemic, I’ll be back...

went yesterday at 5:48 pm cashier was not helpful. she was rude and and nonverbal. i asked several questions about how to order my cone and i was only provided with vague head nods and a mean expression . i wanted the strawberry and raspberry fusion frozen yogurt with sprinkles. when i got my order the icecream was melted and when i looked at my receipt i didn’t get my raspberry fusion included. it would’ve helped if the cashier actually spoke to be able to confirm my order. the yogurt was okay, the sprinkles were gross and the waffle cone was bland and dry. i should’ve just thrown $7 dollars out my car window instead of going. my sister got a chocolate dip cone tht was melted when handed to her and the dip was not that good. love trying local spots but its giving over hyped. i also understand that not every employee is going to be in a good mood but if thats the case have the sour acting ones working...

The gentleman working was so rude. My husband ordered the twist with sprinkles and I had vanilla with sprinkles. He first handed me the cone without saying anything so I assumed it was the vanilla and then went back to make the other and gave it to my husband. I let the guy know that my husband had ordered twist not the vanilla so he took the cone without asking or confirming any details with us and smashed the cone into a cup then he asked what's in your hand, I said vanilla he said no that's the twist. I said oh, I had no idea. This would've never been an issue if he had let us know what he had handed us without ruining the cone. He then was trying to hand me that same ice cream cone he had messed up instead of making a new one. The place is also very dirty and they do not use gloves....
