Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was excited when I discovered Cinnaholic would be opening in Owings Mills. That meant no more 30 minute drives to the Rotunda location. Unfortunately, I would rather drive to the Rotunda once per month than have to visit this location again.
The staff at the Rotunda at least look like they want to assist. The manager is really nice and hospitable.
When I visited on 8/14, I wanted cookies and brownies. I asked the African American male at the register if the chocolate chip cookies on the plate were all they had because their cookies are like bricks and borderline burnt on the edges. If there were some in the oven or fresh out of the oven I would have grabbed those.
Considering I was inches away from him at the counter when I spoke, he bluntly goes: "What?" in the most annoyed tone, so I had to repeat myself. "Excuse me, could you repeat what you said?" sounds so much better than saying flat out "What?"
So that was red flag number one. Number two, most of their brownies are split apart in their packaging. Almost as though half of them are eaten (sarcasm here). Their choc chip and cinnadoodle cookies are overcooked and thick. The ones at Rotunda are moist, flatter and delicious. They have the lemonberry coffee cakes too.
This location's cinnamon rolls are decent, but they are sparce on the icing. The abysmal service and accompaniments are why I won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve given this place so many chances because itās very hard to find vegan desserts, but this place is so disappointing. Every time Iāve gone there, there has been some kind of problem and the staff couldnāt care less.
Twice theyāve been out of something I ordered and tried to just hand me the bag with missing items. When I told them, all they said was they were out of it. They knew my order was missing items but still handed me the bag without saying a word. I explained to them that you have to give customers their money back if theyāve paid for something and you donāt have it. Either they didnāt understand or didnāt care.
Management didnāt seem to care either, I emailed them and never even heard back.
Make the trip to the Rotunda or Gambrills, you...
