I usually never have an issue but I went today and I disliked my experience so much that I felt like I needed to leave a review about it. I went to this location to grab lunch today. When I got there, there were 3 people in line ahead of me. Two of them were together and were ordering together. The woman working there was very nice to them, she was pleasant and bubbly. I noticed this because outside of this interaction, nothing else was going on so it was very easy to catch the whole thing. The next person in line was helped by someone else, who was also very pleasant towards her. When the other woman came over to help me, she never actually greeted me and she didn’t even speak to me when she first walked over, she just looking at the receipts that were printing out near where I was before she looked at me to take my order. Ok. I tell her I want a bowl, she puts in one, maybe one and a half scoops of rice and one scoop of steak so small that I asked if she could put a little more. She said she would have to charge me, I clarified, I’m not asking for another serving, just a little more, there is a small amount in the bowl. She reiterated that she would need to charge me. So I decided to just move on, I ask for some of the parsley mixture and she put in a heap of it so large it covered the whole bowl. There was more of the mixture than there was meat. When I pointed that out, it was this point I feel like her attitude kicked in, she wasn’t being pleasant with me at all. She said she would take some of it off and then proceeded to walk over to the trash and scoop out some of the mixture, and likely some of the meat, into the trash. Comes back, puts the bowl back down and looks to me as if to continue. I was honestly so turned off I wanted to say nevermind then, but, I keep going. I asked for corn, I got a very small scoop and cucumbers and she put a small scoop of that as well. After she put the sauce and the lid on I was so over it I just walked out. I don’t understand why things went this way but seeing how nice she was to the people she helped before me made me feel angry about the way she put my food together. I don’t know if race was a factor, I would hope not as we are both minorities, but I just know I won’t be going back to that location. It was very...
Read moreOn 6/23 I ordered a Steak and Egg pizza from this location. I was looking forward to this item because this location’s pizzas were highly recommended to me.
I ordered online and a co worker got the order to go and when I received it, I opened up the pizza to find no egg at all. The receipt attached to the pizza box had a list of ingredients needed to make the item and this included an egg. There were no notices on anything and I received no communication from the location that they were out of eggs. I assumed a mistake had been made and since I was really looking forward to this, I drove to the location with the pizza to try to correct the issue and receive what I paid for.
I explained the situation to an employee and then he sent over someone, who I assumed was a manager, and then the manager came to talk to me. I showed him the pizza and the receipt and he said that they didn’t have that item on their menu anymore. I explained that it let me order that item online that morning and he could not explain but just said the product no longer has an egg on it and that this location was no longer being sent eggs.
I asked if there was anything he could do about the situation and he said, “No, the item is correct.” Not wanting to make a scene when I was clearly being dismissed, I left.
This was embarrassing that I had driven out of my way to get the item that I had ordered and paid for and then refused any consideration to the issue. I did try the pizza to try to get my money’s worth and ended up tossing it because the flavor profile in my opinion really needed that egg. I understand supply chain issues causing shortages in ingredients but to mislead a customer to buy an item they don’t have, never tell them that the item has been changed, and not making an attempt to fix it, is unacceptable.
I do not order from this location anymore from this experience. It matters a lot to me that I get what I paid for and was advertised to me.
This item is still falsely advertised on their website as containing an egg...
Read moreI was super excited to try Mezeh, and placed a small catering order my first time out. Unfortunately, when I got home and unpacked my food, I realized that I’d been given someone else’s order. I called the store and let them know and the attitude conveyed via one of the staff from their manager, Carmen, was questionable right off the bat. Their opinion was that I should consider myself lucky, because the order they’d provided me was larger than mine. I explained to them that the size didn’t matter since it wasn’t the food I ordered or wanted, and much of it wasn’t edible by my family due to dietary restrictions. They reiterated that really I had come out ahead, refused to provide a refund unless I returned the food that evening (it was after 9 and I live 40 minutes away), and otherwise offered no explanation (they confirmed my name when I picked up) or apology at all. At the end they suggested I email their catering email and that they might be able to help. Unfortunately, they had a similar attitude and said initially that they may be able to offer me a store credit “as a courtesy” (again, very off thinking for a screwup of that proportion) but upon following up, have also failed to respond to my messages.
Take your business elsewhere-I was always a Cava fan before and they will keep my...
