🌋 A Glorious Culinary Adventure at Volcano Hot Pot & BBQ – Owings Mills! 🌋 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If we could give 10 stars, we would!)
Let me just start by saying: Volcano Hot Pot & BBQ in Owings Mills is not just a restaurant — it’s an experience. A celebration. A flavor-filled adventure. A place where food, fun, family, and service come together in the most unforgettable way!
This past weekend, my fiancé, daughter, sister, niece, and I decided to try something new — and what a spectacular decision that turned out to be. None of us had been before, and we were eager for a little culinary excitement. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special.
🍽️ The Food – A Feast for Every Tastebud
The food bar was a wonderland of choices. Whether you’re a meat lover, pescatarian, vegetarian, or simply adventurous — Volcano Hot Pot has you covered. The selection of meats was vast and fresh, with everything from marinated beef to seafood to tofu. The sauce station? Oh, let me tell you — I felt like Gordon Ramsay himself creating flavor combinations that elevated every bite.
And the best part? You get to BBQ your own meats right at the table AND build your own ramen bowls with bubbling hot pot broths. Each person in our group got to craft a meal exactly how they wanted it — flavorful, customized, and interactive. We laughed, grilled, stirred, dipped, and shared — it brought out everyone’s inner chef!
🎂 The Birthday Surprise
It was my sister’s birthday, and the staff made sure it was extra memorable. They came out with an LED-lit birthday sign, singing and cheering like we were in a private celebration lounge. We were stunned — and the two cakes they brought out (YES, two!) were the perfect sweet finish. The tiramisu was rich and creamy, but the dragon fruit cake absolutely stole the show — the kids were obsessed!
🫶 Customer Service – Second to None
Let’s talk about the staff — from the waitresses to the manager, every person we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about our experience. We felt attended to without ever being rushed. The team was knowledgeable, helpful with first-timers like us, and made sure everything was seamless and joyful. They elevated our dining experience into something we’ll never forget.
💰 Value for the Price
For everything we enjoyed — the quality, the quantity, the experience — the price was absolutely right. We felt like we got so much more than a meal. We got a memory. A story. A new favorite place. And with dietary needs ranging across the board in our family, everyone left happy and full.
⸻
💬 Final Verdict:
Volcano Hot Pot & BBQ is a hidden gem, a family favorite in the making, and our new go-to spot for birthdays, date nights, fun dinners with the kids, or even just a midweek pick-me-up. They’ve mastered the art of combining food, fun, and hospitality — and trust me, you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
From our family to yours: Run, don’t walk — and bring your appetite. We’ll absolutely be back. Again and again. And again. 🔥❤️🍜🍖
P.S. Don’t skip the dragon fruit cake....
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant with my child for hot pot, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience due to the service. When we were seated, no one informed us that there was a 90-minute time limit for dining, nor were there any signs posted in the restaurant to indicate this policy.
Less than an hour into our meal, the front desk manager suddenly approached our table and, in a loud voice, informed us that we only had 15 minutes left. His tone was abrupt, and everyone at the nearby tables heard it, which made us feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.
After he left, I checked the time and realized we’d only been there for under an hour. Shortly after, the manager returned and told us he’d made a mistake about our time, saying we still had plenty of time left. However, he didn’t offer any apology for the confusion or his loud, rude approach.
To make matters worse, he didn’t give any time reminders to other tables, even though we were not the last to arrive. This inconsistency and lack of courtesy was disappointing, especially as I was dining alone with a child, just trying to enjoy our meal.
Overall, this incident left a very bad impression. Respectful and considerate service is essential, especially when dealing with guests who are simply trying to enjoy a meal. I hope management addresses these issues to improve the dining experience for...
Read moreThis is by far the most worst place to Eat. The manager is highly rude and very uncultured. He literally got in between me and my minor by describing how terrible the food tasted. Irrespective of my communication to explain that the taste was and how my husband got sick from trying the food, he capitalized on how my minor felt, and kept getting in between me and my minors words.( saying I was dishonest because my minor mentioned dad had a taste of the chicken) They are pretty new to the area, but cared less about customers than experience or health outcomes. It’s by far the worst place to eat and also created a traumatic experience for me.
If you are family inclined, health conscious, do not go to this restaurant. It’s not curated for anyone who regards eating healthy or seeks quality outcomes from their eating choices.
The management is poor on customer satisfaction and relationships management. They are money driven than satisfactory management.
This is not meant for anyone, who regards health management as a thing in food services. I felt really bad about the management. The manager thought it was about the money, rather it was about my husband’s health and how he came in between my minors words and mine.
I plead with anyone and everyone that doesn’t want to end in the hospital To not eat here, these guys don’t care. Lots of viruses are out there...
