Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Maryland

We stopped for ice cream on our way home from the beach. It was just after 9 pm when we arrived and people were still inside. As I was walking to the door, an employee was opening the door for a customer to leave. As soon as she walked out, the customer promptly closed and locked the door with about eight people trying to get in. A young kid pointed to the summer hours posted at the door and told the employee that it said they didn't close until 10 pm. The employee opened the door, peered around at the hours and said the summer hours didn't start yet and went to close the door again. I said, "So you aren't going to serve any of us?" She said, "No. We already have people inside." and closed and locked the door.

It's not easy getting off Rt 50 to get to the Dairy Queen. We won't be attempting it again in the future. Maybe Rita's at Queestown is the way to go. Thanks, DQ for the...

We stopped at this location after a long, difficult day (05/06/22 at 7:50 pm). We were waited on by Hailey. She was pleasant to the people in front of us. When it was our turn, she did not greet us, did not speak, NOTHING. My husband spoke and asked about the menu. She was very short, would not look at us and kept walking away. I told him let's leave. I returned to ask her name and was surprised to find her being friendly to the people that was behind us. Hailey, if you cannot be professional to all of your customers, no matter if they don't look like you, you may not want to work in a public place. I have tried calling to speak with a member of management, but have not been able to get through. I will never go to that...

This Dairy Queen has amazing service. My kids were hungry after a day of swimming so we stopped in here. At first we tried to go threw the drive through but my youngest couldn't make up his mind. The individual on the speaker was professional and patient while we debated our next steps. We decided to come in and the staff inside was just as patient and welcoming as my kids asked questions and decided what to get.

The food was great and came out quick. The restaurant itself was clean and smelled really nice, which you don't always get in fast good restaurants. We decided to eat in and enjoyed our meals and conversation.

My kids recommend the baby shrimp basket and the chillie cheese dog. 😀
