Flip Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Maryland

It's Mother's Day 2021 and I got an email from Papa John's for a heart shaped pizza. I asked if that sounded good to my wife. She said she didn't want a chain pizza, but a gourmet mozzarella pizza. We tend to stick to the main chain's for pizza, so I googled "pizza near me" and found Flip Pizza had the highest rankings. I looked online and saw that they offered what we were looking for. So we took the leap. Ordered the Mozzarella pizza and two 18 inch pepperoni. My only regret was I didn't have coupons. But we ordered online, and--surprise--because we ordered over $50, a discount was automatically applied to the price. I paid no more than I would have at a major chain. Such a good feeling. My wife loved the Mozzarella pizza. And the large pepperoni pizza were great. It's classic thin pizza, but the crust has a really wonderful crunchy crisp to it. And the sauce is as described, sweet and tangy. It's lightly sauced--not too lightly, but light. But when you get extra sauce in a bite, you really taste how good it is. Cheese is good, On the whole, we were really excited to find this pizza place tonight, quite unexpectedly. Most important, my wife was super pleased on this Mother's Day. It was a great way to end the day....

I ordered 2subs and fries which were horrible. The fries were oily and both subs were horrible. I ordered one Cheesesteak sub and one Chicken Cheesesteak. It was a waste of our $30. We could've went to the market and made much better sandwiches. The bread was very dry,they didn't pull out any of the bread which made the bread overpower the steak, which left more bread than steak on the roll. The rolls were those cheap rolls that u may find at the market (2 for $6.) Smh Usually restaurants and carry outs will press the bread on the griddle so that you'll get lesser bread,however this place isn't an expert in the sub area. The subs were also overpowered with mayonnaise and shredded lettuce. I really wanted to like this place,but this will be last time eating here. I'll stick to my regular spot,at least we'll know that we're getting something that's...

I loved their stromboli, however mashed potatoes tasted like they were prepared in a bowl that still had dish soap in it, no kidding. Still, the reason only two stars is because my wife clearly asked if the baked ziti was vegetarian no meat in the sauce & guy clearly said no meat. Well there is shredded pepperoni in the sauce.
