Very Honest Review: The food is delicious yes, but I’ve only been able to try It once. I’ve tried going back for 4 days straight but they’ve been closed everytime. The open sign was still on each time, and on google It says it’s open. Today I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the customer service I just experienced. I don’t know if it’s because I’m American or they really just hate their paying customers. I was not greated when walking in. The worker at the bar was having a conversation with a customer and ignored me standing there to place an order and just looked at me crazy. I then tell his man that I would like to place an order. He thinks I’ve ordered on DoorDash and I tell him no I didn’t I would like to place an order now. He then asks what would I want, I told him jollof rice with stew chicken. He proceeded to tell me they are out of jollof in a very aggravated voice, like I am bothering him or something. He then ask me what else did I order on DoorDash. So now I’m confused because we had just discussed that this is NOT a door dash order. Once I repeat myself AGAIN for the 3rd time, he tells me he thought this was a DoorDash order and he just canceled It because I said It wasn’t mines. Huh? How is this my fault. Then get doesn’t say anything else and acts like he’s trying to fix something on the system. Then he goes to the back (i can literally see him through the cracks of the door) and he starts washing a pan taking his time as if I’m not sitting here waiting to order food from this establishment. This was by far the WORST experience ever. Yes the food is great however this whole experience is NOT worth It. All of the reviews I’m seeing about this establishment are about how good the food taste and how horrible customer service is. Oh and don’t get me started on the phone. Read moreI LOVE FLORAS!!!. my boyfriend is cameroonian, I'm American. I had pretty much convinced myself I only like his family's cooking when it came to african food.. but flora's changed the game.. My favorites are the stewed chicken, the cassava leaf, the whole grilled fish w/plantains, and the suya. SHE ALSO MAKES FISH ROLLS!!! my favorite snack.. you can only pre-order the fish rolls. But that's still a plus that she even makes them at all. The service is very pleasant.. the ONLY TINY issue, is because of the overwhelming amount of customers, the turn around time is about 1 hour or more. AGAIN..NOT a problem for us, because we plan for it. We order our food about 2 hours before we are ready to eat it, and kind of just make our way there later..and the food no matter when we arrive is ALWAYS HOT AND FRESH. I DO NOT LIKE SPICY FOOD. BUT my boyfriend has informed me that SPICE is the staple for African food.. so I pray each time I order its not too spicy.. and it's most of the time perfect. Read moreThe food is very good. Flora is a very nice lady. I would have given this more stars however the young girl who is behind the counter has a lot to learn when it comes to customer service. Her phone manners are very bad and I personally would not have her answer the phone nor greet my customers in my own restaurant. I will continue to patronize the restaurant because it's local and the food is good however the downside is I would not recommend It 2 anyone that I personally know. The irony that is in Flora's favor is that anyone reading this post would consider this a recommendation to try Floras. Additionally, the restaurant is not always open at its posted times. I have driven there on a couple of occasions when it was supposed to be open but it was closed. I had tried calling prior but there was no answer so I didn't know if the restaurant was open or closed. It's a bit frustrating to waste my time like that especially coming from work. Flora please raise the bar on your level of service and let your customers know that you value them by showing them the courtesy of at least a message on your voicemail box.
