Lambert Seafood — Restaurant in Maryland

I've been coming to Lamberts for over 15 years. The crab cakes are always great! The best neighborhood crab cakes in Maryland.

Lately, when I order my crab cake dinners ; the size of the crab cakes are never consistant. Sometimes they are just too small . I guess it depends on the chief for the day. Other times they are perfect. However, one of my major concerns is that Lambert's appearance has gone down for inside dinning. The waittresses aren't very professional, don't look professional and often forgets things. The cooks or people in the kitchen wears pajama pants, pants hanging of their butts, and walking on the back of their shoes. It appear to be alot of young kids working there. Now, my husband and I order our food to go. However , this too has been a problem: (1) our bake potatoe on several ocassions was old and gray in color (2) crab cakes were very small (3) Salads consist of lettuce ,4 cucumbers and 4 tomatoes. It looked as if a toddler prepared them. What happened to the salad bar.?

This is my new spot for delicious crabs! 🦀 I haven't been buying/eating whole crabs for years, I switched over to crab legs. I grew up eating crabs all of the time but wasn't satisfied with the local ones so I stopped eating them. A friend recommended Lambert's so I decided to try it out with some friends. I ordered the crab legs, fried shrimp and crab balls. The crab legs were delicious! I didn't care for the fried shrimp or the crab balls which I didn't even finish. None of us were fond of our fried food choices. I tried a whole crab (large male) from my friend and it was sooo good. She offered me another and I accepted it immediately. I enjoyed the crabs so much, to my own surprise, that I went back just for the crabs. They were also so good the second time around, and I can't wait to go back again. Lambert's has brought back my desire for whole crabs. We also tried the steamed shrimp which was good. The service can definitely be improved on, but everyone there is very friendly and welcoming. I heard that they have wonderful drinks as well but I haven't tried them yet. I'll save that for...

Good day. I’m so very sorry I promised Miss Katherine Herrera that I was going to send in a note to express my gratitude for her outstanding customer service. She was personable, attentive. Just a joy. Just the right touch, follow-up not hovering. I’ve been in hole in the walls and formerly executive assistance for major corporation. Customer service was my forte. Sponsored, planned and attended many conferences, dinners and events. She’s a gem treat her well. she had me turn around and recommend lunch for another patron who was equally pleased buy her willingness to create such a positive atmosphere. I’ve lived in Lanham since 1994 and eaten here off and on over the years. Usually crabs and it was take out. But breakfast was great, service better. My in-laws said the next time we eat out its crab cakes (Lamberts) or nothing lol. It’s infectious when you’re treated well. Thank You. I’ll update after brunch next week.
