Hong Kong 3 — Restaurant in Maryland

Another wonderful experience in take out at HK3. Everything in our order ($170) was deliciously perfect and hot. Special requests were accepted and honored. This is our go-to restaurant for Chinese food. Sweet & Sour items had sauce on the side so the breading stayed crisp & so much sauce I have an entire container for cooking. Egg Foo Young - light & fluffy with gravy on the side. Egg & Spring Rolls - perfect. Double Pork, Moo Shu Pork, Fried Scallops - best we have had in Maryland since 2007. Dumplings are filled and perfectly steamed & fried with what seems like Spicy Shanghai sauce. House Special Chow Fun - Noodles & content were delicious (although we have never had this dish). Egg drop Soup with & without won ton was perfect. House & Fried Rice are good, not quite as much meat/veggies as other restaurants nearby. I tripped over the door mat on the way out of the restaurant. It was folded over and twisted by the door. I have a gash on my nose. My nose and lip were bleeding. Not a single employee acknowledged me nor asked if I was ok. A man and a lady in line along with my daughter helped me up. I sat at the table for about 5 minutes cleaning myself up and still no employee acknowledged me. My glasses are broken. My phone is destroyed. Two stars for food quality and unsanitary conditions. Food was well below average. Sesame Chicken was almost entirely submerged in sauce that was far too sweet. I felt like I was eating chicken in lathered molasses. Everything we ordered went in the trash half eaten. Just couldn’t stomach it. More importantly, I’m almost positive I saw a large, uncovered tray of raw chicken in the same refrigerator as the canned and bottled beverages. Not exactly sanitary...
