Warning - LONG ... but very happy review. I don't write reviews, but I had to share this. My Son and his Fiance married this past weekend. They did not want the usual Southern Maryland wedding menu (greasy, fried with taters & slaw on the side) They both LOVE the Olive Garden and mentioned they'd really like it at their reception. We didn't even know if they did that sort of thing, but we inquired. Mikayla (sorry if spelled wrong) the manager, said they did and that they had recently pulled off a very successful event MUCH larger than ours ! They are trained in delivery and food set up and even supply the chaffing dishes and serving utensils. We were sold ! - both impressed & confident in their service. After a few very helpful and pleasant phone conversations with her & Brittany our catering order was completed and they even approved a few special requests we had ! The morning of, Brittany called me to go over everything one last time and let me know she would be involved in the set up herself. I was very excited ! She and 2 very nice young men (I'm sorry I dont remember your names) showed up on time, fully prepared and had everything set up quickly and without disruption to the reception, which had already begun. My only regret is I did not take a picture of the final buffet set up to share. It was perfectly arranged and looked delish! I believe everyone enjoyed the offerings and uniqueness of the wedding reception fair. Sorry that was so long, but I am just so impressed and thankful for the perfectly coordinated, delicious, abundant & super affordable catering the California, MD Olive Garden provided for my Son & new Daughter in law's event !!!! Thank you to everyone that helped make it special !!!
P.S. before the wedding, they also set aside a wonderful area for the bridal shower & provided great service & food for that as well. I was not directly involved in that portion of planning, but it was a seemless & beautiful event and they even gave the Bride a special gift...
Read moreI am very disappointed. Ordered online for the first time. Placed order at 4 to be picked up by 530. Sent son to pick up order. Everything was good till I look for my daughters meal. Grilled chicken with gluten-free pasta side of grapes and raspberry lemonade. They sent me chocolate milk and a bowl of sliced chicken breast. I called to complain and get the order corrected and I get put in hold for 5 minutes so I hang up and call back. Ask for a manager again and explain I’ve already been on hold for 5 minutes the hostess put me on hold again and finally jason Justin one of those gets on the phone and I explain what happened and that I need it corrected. He acted like I was bothering him and I told him my son was heading there now to get the correct stuff which jason/Justin repeated to me and then gave a small sorry. I said thank you and he said your welcome then hung up no bye or anything. My son goes comes back and they pretty much got it right this time but still forgot part of her meal. I know that restaurants get busy after a snow storm but if I give you and hour and a half to make it then it should be right. My son had to go back twice for me so I didn’t have to drag my daughter or myself out who have been sick with the flu for the last two weeks. All I wanted was a nice meal in my warm house. I guess 1 out of...
Read moreHaven't been to Olive Garden Italian restaurant in quite a while. Decided to go and try their special they had for $12. 99 where you ate one entree there and took one entree home.
The commercial on TV is misleading they show you the lasagna which you can get but it's a $3 up charge for it as well as two other entrees that you usually see on the commercial. So that means if you want lasagna it's going to be $15.99 for the special instead of the $12.99 that they advertise.
So we placed our orders and they came out with the soup in the salad and the breadsticks. apparently they're on hard times for breadsticks because they only bring out three at a time. There was a table near us with six or seven people and they brought out three baskets of 3 each breadsticks.
So we ordered the lasagna to eat at the restaurant. It was okay but I've had much better. I wish I had just ordered the all you can eat soup and skip the special all together.
The entrees we took home to fix, said you should eat them within 2 days. My entree was not bad I ordered the Alfredo and pasta my husband said his was not that great he ordered the four cheese ravioli and he said it was a huge square of pasta and just a teeny spot with some cheese in it, that it was more pasta than cheese.
We probably will not go back to the are Olive Garden Italian restaurant...
