Horace and Dickies Seafood of Waldorf — Restaurant in Maryland

I first heard that they were located in Waldorf and found them. As always the catfish was great. So good, that I just returned from my second visit. I told the clerk that I was visiting to make sure that yesterday was not a fluke. He smiled and asked, weren't you here yesterday. I had to confess and after finishing my second test, I must confess that if you tried them in DC you will find the same here. Hurry in. I got a four piece sandwich with soft wheat bread and hot sauce. Deeeelicious. I know y'all are wondering where it is because it is not very visible. It's right off branch avenue. At the first light, make a left and another left and you will be in the shopping center. Hopefully they will get a better sign. With that, COME AND GET IT. PS. I haven't tried the side dishes because I have side dishes at home. I just needed good fish.

Update: After being a customer of H and D for years, counting back to their being in DC, I no longer shop there. Though, they have good fish, they decreased the size of their servings. I was told that the reason for decreased fish size is because they are receiving smaller fish. I was their customer, not the delivery guys. I mean, the fish shrunk to half size and the price increased. To be fair, I spoke to one of the owners advising them of the major size change and came out feeling that “ that is what it is”, so I am no longer a customer. Let those who have a ear...

I placed an order here this past November. They charged me $28.02 & then a gentlemen called and advised they didn't have any chicken so he asked if we wanted to cancel the order or exchange for something else. We decided to cancel the entire order placed it online so we never even entered the store. Til this day I have only received credit of $14.50. I have called numerous times and no one never calls.back. They still owe me $13.52. I filed a BBB Complaint and I am currently disputing the charges with my bank. Who charges people for orders when you know you ran out of food. Also if chicken is 1 of your main items you sell you should always be in stock anyway. So you can keep your 20% soliciting emails just credit my damn money & not 1 soul has contact me back

Nostalgia is OVER-RATED, especially when it comes to this place... I haven't been here since graduating high school in 1995, and it will be another 28 years if I go back.

I ordered a simple 2pc Whiting Dinner w/ collards and yams. The fish was fine, but the sides were ATROCIOUS and DISGUSTING. Both sides smelled and tasted sour. *PSA * - Do yourself a favor and taste your food before you leave, or you will be throwing your money away as I did here. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Additionally, aside from the place looking and smelling like the back entrance of an old strip club, the young guy who took my order has about as much hospitality and customer service skills as a mosquito.
